3rd RGNUL National Moot Court Competition 2014 :
Completed form should reach the organizing committee as soft copy by 18 February 2014 (05:00 p.m.) and as hard copy by 25 February 2014
These rules shall be called the 3rd RGNUL National Moot Court Competition Rules, 2014
Wherein:
Administrator/Organizers means the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. Competition means the 3rd RGNUL National Moot Court Competition, 2014.
Participating team means the team which has registered itself for the competition as per the rules of registration given below.
Participating college/university/institution shall be presumed to be the parent institution of the Participating team.
The rules mentioned herein are not exhaustive.
Rules should be strictly adhered to, any deviation shall result in disqualification unless specifically exempted by the Organizers.
All decisions made by Organizers in case of any disputes, doubts or related issues shall be final and binding. The Organizers may alter, amend or add to the rules mentioned herein at any point of time.
Imposition of all penalties including disqualification rests solely with the organizers in case of failure to comply with the rules mentioned herein.
Eligibility :
The competition is open to students who are:
Pursuing an integrated 5 year B.A. LL.B. programme in India.
Pursuing a 3 year LL.B. programme in India.
Team Composition :
1 Each team can consist of a minimum of two members or maximum of three members. Under no condition shall a team consisting of more than 3 members be allowed to participate.
2 In case of a three member team
2.1 There shall be two speakers and 1 researcher in the team.
2.2 The teams shall identify such speakers and researcher during registration.
3 In case of a two member team
3.1 There shall be two speakers in the team.
3.2 The teams shall identify such speakers during registration.
3.4 Teams shall not disclose their identity, i.e. the name of their institution, city, etc. or any other information which has the effect of disclosing their identity and affiliation with a particular university or institution. Such disclosure shall result in disqualification subject to the discretion of the Organizers.
3.5 Each team shall be allotted a team code and each participant shall be given an individual code.
Registration :
1. All participating institutions have to confirm participation by sending an email to mootcommittee@rgnul.ac.in by 18th February 2014 latest by 5:00 PM.
2. Teams have to post the completed hard copies of the registration form along with a draftof Rs 3000/- by 25th February 2014 to Dr. Shilpa Jain (Co-ordinator Moot Court Committee), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Sidhuwal Campus Bhadson Road, Patiala, Punjab 147001.
3. The draft of Rs.3000/-has to be drawn in favour of “REGISTRAR, RGNUL, PUNJAB”, payable at Patiala.
4. Formal registration of the teams shall be done on 28th March 2014 at the venue.
5. Any change in the team composition shall be intimated to the Organizers before the Formal Registration.
