Instructions to the Candidates :
1. The medium of examination is English.
2. Level I : The question paper contains 75 questions and 10 additional questions.
Level II -VI : The question paper contains 100 questions and 20 additional questions.
3. The duration of the test is 90 minutes.
4. For each question there are five suggested answers. Mark “X” in the box provided under the choices A,B,C,D and E for the correct answer in the coding sheet.
5. Students can take the question paper home after the completion of the test for their reference.
6. Mark only one answer for each question.
7. Use the space provided in the question paper for rough work.
8. Each correct answer carries one mark.
9. Reporting time to the Exam hall is 30 minutes before the commencement of the Examination.
10. Blue or black ball point pen should be used for marking the answers.
11. Make corrections, if any in the coding sheet as indicated below :
12. No negative marks for wrong answers.
13. More than one correction carries no mark.
14. Answers outside the box is invalid.
15. Usage of Electronic gadgets and logbooks is not allowed.
16. In case of a tiebreaker, the answers to the extra questions will be valued to adjudge the winner.

Know More About Velammal’s State Level Science Talent Search Exam :
Eligibility :
The Students of Classes I to XII of all boards studying in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry are eligible to participate.

Syllabus :
Level One (Std. I and II)
Level Two (STD. III and IV)
Level Three (STD.V and VI)
Level Four (STD.VII and VIII)

Scheme of the Test :
The examination will be conducted in two rounds. The preliminary round will be held at the schools concerned if the entry at each level is minimum 25 students. The best one out of 25 will qualify for the Final round of exam to be held at the Regional Headquarters. If the enrolment is in the multiples of 25, students are selected as per the total number of enrolment at each level. (If there are 100 students at Level one, 4 will be selected for the final round). In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected, based on the number of additional questions attempted and solved correctly. This decision will have to be taken by the Chief Co-ordinator concerned. The final round will be held in the designated Regional Headquarters namely Chennai, Coimbatore, Kancheepuram, Madurai, Puducherry, Thanjavur, Theni, Karur, Nagercoil, Salem, Trichy, Thirunelveli and Vellore.
