National Genius Search Examination 2014 :
National Genius Search Examination (NGSE) is a scientifically devised assessment tool to locate genius among children. It is an innovative approach for accelerated learning, developed after 12 years of rigorous research and adaptability tests. The NGSE leads to the prestigious National Genius Awards.

The NGSE focuses on assessment for learning. It uses ‘Own the Ownership of Learning Concept’ (OOL Concept) to develop questions. These Questions brings in the required interest among students to take up the ownership of learning by their own. This approach ensures maximum learning in optimal time with deeper understanding and conceptual clarity.

The NGSE is not only used to teach; but facilitate the urge for learning. It also demonstrates how a single question can cover all the parameters of a topic and accelerate the learning process.The multi tasked Enhanced MCQs (EMCQs) of NGSE improves rapid decision making skills in daily life.

The National Genius Search Examination® 2014 (NGSE) is offered to students in India and schools following Indian curriculum abroad. It is available for class 4 to 12.

NGSE-2014 will be held in two phases :
Phase – 1 :
NGSE Mains – 2014, will be held on 5th February, 2014

Phase – 2 :
NGSE Advanced – 2014, will be held at selected centers across India and abroad on Sunday, 2nd March 2014 for those who have cleared the NGSE Mains (Phase – 1 test).

Syllabus of NGSE 2014 :
For Class IV – X :
The NGSE for Class 4 to 10 are drawn from Mathematics and Science of the respective class. The NGSE also includes a few questions on General Knowledge related to scientific aspects.

For Class XI & XII :
Students in Class XI & XII can choose any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Business Studies and Accountancy.

The Syllabus of NGSE for each class or its equivalent grades can be downloaded from the downloads section of the website

NGSE questions are based on daily life experiences. Success depends on answering them by grasping the underlying concepts. The questions do not follow a fixed structure or pattern. Students are advised to comprehend instructions for each question before they attempt to answer them.

How Schools register their students for NGSE? :
Step – I : Collect the Registration Fee from students:

Please collect the NGSE Examination fee from the participating students.

The NGSE Examination Fee details are given below :

Portion of the Fee retained by Schools towards administrative expenses Rs. 50 or Rs. 80* Rs. 100

Note :
* Indicates that the school has to print the question papers sent through email as password protected pdf files. If the school required printed question booklets to be couriered to them, then they need to remit Rs. 300 per student.
The NGSE – Mains is a single paper. It has no subject wise fee.

Step-II : Complete the School Participation List (SPL)
Complete the School Participation List (SPL) with students’ details. It can be downloaded from the Download Center of the website or

Step-III : Remit the Fee Collected
Out of the fee collected, the school should retain the test administration expanses for the school as mentioned above. Remit the balance fee to the account of the NGSE administering agency – Entrancemaster India Private Limited.

The fee can be paid to the NGSE administering agency’s account in the following ways :
By sending a Demand Draft / Multicity cheque, favouring Entrancemaster India Private Limited, payable at Mumbai.
By depositing cash in the account of NGSE administering agency at any of the State Bank of India branches across India.
By NEFT / RTGS / SWIFT/ Net banking to transfer the fee to the NGSE administering agency

Step-IV : Forward the SPL & Fee

Send the completed SPL along with the Demand Draft / Proof of Fee payment to the following address :

Kindly mention your school name, NGSF School Code, contact number and full school address with postal code on the overleaf of the draft.

Alternately, schools can send a soft format of the completed SPL, with Fee payment details to ngse[at]ngsfindia.org with a copy to ngsfindia[at]gmail.com

As we receive the details of deposit / transfer, we shall send you the receipt of payment and thereafter, the Student Enrollment Numbers, if not allotted already.

Checklist of Documents :
1. Duly filled-in and correctly named School Participation List (SPL-2014) in Excel format or its printout and
2. Photocopy / scanned copy of (a) Cash Deposit slip or (b) RTGS / NEFT Reference ID or (c) Demand Draft. or
3. In case of Demand Draft, a Photocopy of the same is also to be enclosed, stapled to the School Participation List.

Before sending the above documents, please ensure that you have a copy of the same. Note that application without any of the three items above will be considered incomplete and shall not be processed further without completion.

      There you can find the syllabus for class IV to class XII students.
