Foundation Studies Program :
Admission Requirements :
The Srishti Foundation Studies Program exposes students to a holistic, heuristic and creative learning process that concentrates on the building of basic technical and conceptual skills in art, design and technology. The pedagogy is multi-disciplinary, research-oriented, self-initiated, self-directed and often self or peer-assessed, exploratory and experimental, contemporary and radical with sufficient exposure to the Liberal Arts.
By the end of the Foundation Studies Program, students are equipped with basic skill-sets and a basic understanding of possible disciplinary trajectories.
Foundation Studies Program students are free to exit Srishti after successfully completing one year with a Certificate of Completion.
HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION :
Students who have successfully completed Standard 12 (+2) or are appearing for 12th Std. examinations can apply online to join the Foundation Studies Program. Alternatively, you may download and fill in the application form (see below) and mail them to the Srishti office along with the required documents.
The admission process is as follows:
** Entrance Test – The Entrance Test takes place in 6 centres across India at present – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi and Bangalore. Those who succeed in the Entrance Test will be shortlisted for the Portfolio Review and Interview at Srishti School, Bangalore.
** Portfolio Review – Candidates are expected to present a portfolio consisting of art and design works they have generated across the years to prove their aptitude, interest and eligibility for admission, based on the quality of the portfolio. A portfolio should consist of your creative work and it should show the skills you have obtained. It can be in any medium (Drawing, painting, printing, Photographs, videos etc) and should include a minimum of 20 works.
** The Interview – The interview helps Srishti evaluate the creative, intellectual and psychological fitness of a candidate for admission.

Professional Diploma Program – PDP :
Students may choose to major in any one of the following:
** Visual Communication
** Digital Video Production
** Animation and Visual Effects
** Furniture and Interiors
** Textile
** Product and Interface
** Art and Design
The criteria for admissions for a direct entry graduate student is as under :
** Graduates from other Art & Design schools
** Graduates in any discipline with an interest in Art & Design
The criteria for admissions for Course transfer students is as under :
** Students who have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies in any field and wish to change their line of profession to Art & Design may apply.
** Students who have completed a 2-year Foundation studies program at another institution.
Admissions will be considered on the basis of a credit transfer equivalent to the Srishti Foundation Studies Program.
SELECTION PROCESS :
We accept students into our program based on an interview and portfolio review. The interview process will assess the candidate’s aptitude for art and design. The portfolio should include original creative works and/or evidence of work experience in a related field. The direct entry students into PDP will be called in for a portfolio review and interview and the dates will be informed to you once the forms are submitted.
Admissions for the academic year 2014-15 are now open. The last date for receipt of applications will be announced shortly.
