Admission Notification for MD/MS and other PG Diploma Courses and MDS Courses :
Online applications are invited from permanent residents of J&K State who are eligible and desirous of appearing in the Entrance Test for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses in Government Medical Colleges of the State, SKIMS-Srinagar & ASCOMS-Jammu and MDS Courses in the Govt. Dental College, Srinagar. The selection of candidates will be governed by the rules and guidelines as contained in the Electronic Information Brochure-2014 available on the official websites of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations.

Eligibility conditions for appearing in the Entrance Test:
A candidate must:
(a) be a permanent resident of the J&K State.

(b) possess MBBS/BDS Degree or its equivalent Degree recognised by the University of Kashmir/Jammu and the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India;

(c) be registered with the MCI/DCI/State Medical Council/ State Dental Council;

(d) have completed satisfactorily one year pre-registration compulsory rotatory internship in a duly recognised institution as laid down by the University of Jammu/Kashmir for registration as a Medical/Dental graduate. Candidates who are likely to complete their rotatory internship and registration from MCI/DCI/State Medical/Dental Council by or before his/her turn of first date of counselling can also apply to appear in entrance test. However, if any candidate does not submit certificate regarding his/her rotatory internship, registration from MCI/DCI/State Medical/Dental Council on or before the date of his/her first counselling, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the counselling.

(e) have a valid Category Certificate from the prescribed Competent Authority (in case of candidate seeking selection under any reserved category) as required under rules. The candidates who mention category but do not possess valid category certificate at the time of submission of form will be considered in open merit, if he/she is otherwise eligible.

(f) Non permanent resident Doctors having MBBS degree from J&K State and whose parents are presently serving in J&K state are eligible to appear in PG Medical Entrance Test in terms of SRO 158 of 1995 as open merit candidates.

(g) sports category candidates shall be considered as Open Merit candidates if their Sports Points are not received from the J&K Sports Council till February 03, 2014.

(h) be eligible in terms of SRO 08 of 2005 (For those candidates only who have already done post-graduation or Diploma and want to undergo post-graduation in any other specialisation).

Procedure for filling Online Application Form :
a. The applicants are advised to fill the online application form on their own or through a responsible person in their presence. In case of any difficulty, they may approach BOPEE offices Jammu and Srinagar with prior telephonic (Help Line) appointment and payment of a nominal fee of Rs. 100/= (Rupees one hundred only). In this case they are advised to get along with them their required documents in original and a set of attested copies of the same so that they may submit the online application complete in all respect on the same day at the respective BOPEE offices.

b. After reading the instructions and procedures carefully, click the link “Click here to Proceed to Submit your Online Form” on this page to view the online application form.

c. The system will take you to the page titled “Submit Online Application Form Detail”.

d. On the “Submit online Application Form Detail” input your detail as are required to be filled in the form. Please note that all entries on this page are mandatory except the email id. In case you forget to fill any one or more fields/entries you will be given a message at the bottom of the screen before the SUBMIT button. In such a case please carefully check for the missing entries by locating the red asterisk or message on the page. Once you have completed all the entries click on the “Submit” button on the bottom of this page.

e. Please note that for entering your date of birth a drop-down is placed on this page for your convenience and you can select the year, month and day of your birth. On selecting your DOB from this calendar field, it will show your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.

f. Once you fill all the entries of this page and click the “Submit” button you will be taken to the page titled Your Application is Successful. A unique Application No. will be generated for each successfully submitted application and will be displayed on this page. Besides, you will also see two links on this page a. View/Print Confirmation Page (click on this to view/print your confirmation page)

g. Click on the View/print confirmation Page link to see the confirmation page containing the submitted information. Make sure that your printer is connected to the system and then click printer icon link on the top left corner of this confirmation page in order to print the confirmation page.

h. Once you have reviewed the details and taken the print outs of Confirmation page and/or Bank Challan, you should ensure that you close the browser of the computer so that no one else sees your confidential detail on the screen.

How to submit :
a. Filled in online Application Form (Confirmation Page), complete in all respects, can be submitted personally at the office of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations, Bhagat-i-Barzullah, opp. J&K Bank, Srinagar-190005 (Kashmir) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or at 4th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu-180012 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. against receipt (Acknowledgment Card) on or before the last date fixed for receipt of application form.

b. Online Application Form (Confirmation Page) can also be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post only in the name of the Controller of Examinations BOPEE at Jammu or Srinagar on the address as indicated above at d(1) above. Application forms received after the prescribed last date by whatever mode, including registered and speed post, will neither be entertained nor returned to the concerned candidates.

c. If a Confirmation Page of online application form is sent through post and is lost in transit or does not reach or reaches the office of the Board after prescribed date and time due to postal lapses/delays, the Board shall not accept any responsibility for the same.
