West Bengal Biodiversity Board invites applications from the competent Indian nationals for the following posts against permanent vacancies.

1 Name of the Post : Research Officer
No. of post : 1-SC
Pay Scale : PB-4A (Rs. 15,600-42,000/-) with GP of Rs. 6,600/-
Essential Qualification:
1) A candidate shall be citizen of India as defined in part II of the Constitution of India;
2) A Doctorate degree in Bio-science from a recognized University with minimum eight years working experience in the field of Bio diversity or Taxonomy or Genetics or other related subject . Specific discipline of bio-science of the Doctorate degree will be decided by the board at the time of filling up the post based on job requirement ;
Age: The upper age shall not exceed 40 years on the 1st day of January, 2014

2 Name of the Post : Jr. Research Officer
No. of post : 1-UR
Pay Scale : PB-4A(Rs. 15,600- 42,000/-) with GP of Rs. 5,400/-
Essential Qualification:
1) A candidate shall be citizen of India as defined in part II of the Constitution of India
2) A doctorate degree in Bio-science from a recognized University with experience in the field of Biodiversity or Taxonomy or Genetics or other related subject. Specific discipline of Bio-science of the doctorate degree will be decided by the Board at the time of filling up of the post based on job requirement
Age : The upper age limit shall not be exceed 35 years on the 1st day of January, 2014

3 Name of the Post : Accountant
No. of post : 1-UR
Pay Scale : PB-4(Rs.9,000-40,500/-) with GP of Rs. 4,600/-
Essential Qualification:
1) A candidate shall be citizen of India as defined in part II of the Constitution of India;
2) A Master Degree in Commerce from a recognised University
Age: The upper age limit shall not be exceed 35 years on the 1st day of January, 2014

4 Name of the Post : Stenographer
No. of post : 1-SC
Pay Scale : PB-3(Rs. 7,100- 37,600/-) with GP of Rs. 3,600/-
Essential Qualification:
(1) Candidates shall be citizen of India as defined in Part II of the Constitution of India;
(2) Passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or council and having a speed of 40 and 80 w.p.m in typewriting and shorthand respectively;
(3) Proficiency in computer operation
Age: The upper age limit shall not be exceed 35 years on the 1st day of January, 2014

5 Name of the Post : Office Assistant

Pay Scale : PB-2(Rs. 5,400- 25,200/-) with GP of Rs. 2,600/-
Essential Qualification:
(1) A Candidates shall be citizen of India as defined in Part II of the Constitution of India;
(2) A Bachelor degree from a recognized University with minimum two years working experience;
(3) Proficiency in computer application;
(4) Knowledge in Secretarial Practice.
Age: The upper age limit shall not be exceed 35 years on the 1st day of January, 2014
