It is hereby informed that candidates who are intending to do Ph.D. in Education may apply for admission to Ph.D. Degree Programme for January 2014 session in the prescribed form.
Name of the course : Ph.D. Degree Programme
Fee :
OC/BC/MBC candidates : Rs.750/-
SC/ST : Rs.350/-.
How to Apply :
i) The Application form can be had from the University office on payment of prescribed fee by means of Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.
ii) The candidate may also download the application from the University website and submit the application to the University office along with the prescribed fee by means of Demand Demand in favour of the Registrar, TNTEU.
iii) The filled in application should be countersigned by the Principal and proposed guide where the candidate has proposed to do the Ph.D. Research work.
iv) The filled in applications should be sent to the concerned Heads of the Departments of the University/ Principals of the Colleges/Directors of recognized Research Institutions on or before 2nd January and 1st July of every year.

Checklist For Admission Application :
i. Xerox copy of Birth Certificate / S.S.L.C. Certificate
ii. Xerox copy of Community Certificate
iii. Xerox copies of HSC/UG/PG/M.Phil. Mark Statements and Convocation Certificates
iv. Xerox copies of approval of qualification granted by the respective university.
v. Xerox copies of Certificates of Research Experiences
vi. Part-Time candidates should enclose the following certificates along with application.
a. A service certificate from the Head of the Institution where the candidate is employed indicating the date of appointment (i.e., whether permanent or temporary or leave vacancy etc.) should be furnished. If there is any break in service (if it is not a continuous service), the details should be furnished.
b. A No Objection Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
I am working as a P.G teacher in a government higher secondary school in Tamilnadu. From whom I have to get this no objection certificate. Is it enough to get one from the Head master?
I want to apply for Ph,D now . Am i eligible to apply now because it is mentioned The filled in applications should be sent to the concerned Heads of the Departments of the University/ Principals of the Colleges/Directors of recognized Research Institutions on or before 2nd January and 1st July of every year. So please clear my doubt.
