Applications are invited from Indian citizen for the following temporary positions for working in the DISANET Project of “Sensor Material Development” undertaken with Japanese Collaboration. IIT Hyderabad is the lead Institute for the Project and among other national level institutions.

The staff requirements for working at IIT Hyderabad for the DISANET – G2 (Weather) project.

Name of the Post: PROJECT ASSISTANT

Qualifications: B.E/ B.Tech in EE/Instrumentation/ECE/ Mechanical engineering. Candidates with a valid GATE Qualification will be given priority in calling for interview.
Desirable: Experience in performing electrical measurements / testing devices

Job Description: Provide all kinds of technical assistance in building up thin film deposition unit and setting up electrical characterization of thin films for sensor applications.
This would involve;
Designing and Setting up electrical measurement units for characterization of thin films for device applications.

Emoluments: consolidated pay of Rs.14,000/- per month

General Instructions : The appointment will be on contract initially for twelve months which may be renewed on the basis of annual assessment till the Project duration, currently upto December 2014. The selected persons will be located in the Campus of the IIT Hyderabad and would work under the faculty in charge and supervision/administrative control of Director, IIT Hyderabad

6. Candidates who have applied through e-mail need not post their hard copy application.

7. The short listed candidates have to appear in person for a technical interview @ IIT Hyderabad (tentatively 10th Jan 2014).

8. Selections will be made based on the performance in the technical interview. No traveling expenses payable for attending interview.

9. The candidates selected from the technical interview would be expected to join from 20th Jan 2014 onwards.
