Commercial Pilot Ground Training :
Age Limit : 17 ½ – 26 Years
Eligibility : 10+2 in Science (PCM) Male/
Duration of Course : 8 Months
Examination Body : Exam conducted by D.G.C.A. Ministry of Civil Aviation
Fee :97,725/-
Mode of Admission : Merit basis or Interview

Course Details :
(1) Air Regulaton as per prescribed by Central Govt. (Director General of Civil Aviation) :
** Aircraft Act 1934
** Aircraft Rules 1937
** Rules of Air
** Approprite Air Traffic services practices and procedures.

(2) Aircraft General Knowledge :
** Principle of operation and functioning of Aeroplane Power Plants, Systems and Instruments.
** Operating Limitation of appropriate aeroplane and powerplants systems, relevant operational information from the flight manual or other appropriate document.
** Use and serviceability checks of equipment and systems of appropriate aeroplane.
** Maintenance procedures for airframes, systems and powerplants of appropriate aeroplane.

(3) Flight Performance and Planning :
** Effects of Loading and mass distribution on aeroplane handling, flight characteristic and performance mass and balance calculations.
** Use and practical application of take off, landing and other performance data.
** Pre-flight and En-route flight planning appropriate to operations under VFR preparation and filling of air traffic Services flight plans, appropriate air traffic services procedures, position reporting procedures, altimeter setting procedures operations in areas of high density traffic.

(4) Human Performance and Limitations :
Human performance and limitations relevant to the commercial pilot-aeroplanes.

(5) Meteorology :
** Interpretation reports, charts and fore casts, use and procedures for obtaining meteorological information pre-flight and in flight, altimeter.
** Aeronautical meteorology, climatology of relevant areas in respect of the elements having an effect upon aviation, the movement of pressure systems, the structure of fronts and the origin and characteristics of significant weather avoidance.

(6) Navigation :
** Air Navigation, including the use of aeronautical charts, instruments and navigation aids and understanding of the principles and characteristics of appropriate navigation systems, operation of airborne equipment, practical aspect of air navigation and dead reckoning techniques.
** Practical Air Navigation Using radio navigation aids.
** Use, accuracy and reliability of navigation systems used in departure enroute, approach and landing phases of flight, identification of Radio Navigation aids.

(7) Operational Procedure :
** Use of aeronautical documentation such as AIP, Notam, aeronautical codes, abbreviations & instrument procedures charts for departure, en-route, descent and approach.
** Appropriate precautionary and emergency procedures, safety practices associated with flight under IFR.
** Action to be taken to avoid hazardous weather, wake turbulence and other operating hazards.
** Operational procedures for carriage of freight, potential hazards associated with dangerous goods.
** Requirements and practices for safety briefing to passengers, including precautions to be observed when embarking and disembarking from aeroplanes.

(8) Principles of Flight :
Principles of flight relating to aeroplanes.

(9) Radio Telephony :
Radiotelephony procedures and phraseology as applied to VFR and IFR operations, action to be taken in case of communication failure.

Flying :
Jet Star Training Institute of Aeronautics is a ground school having tie-ups with various flying clubs in India, Australia, Canada, USA and others for arranging flight for students, the charges for which are to be paid separately (generally on hourly basis). We conduct the ground classes and on the request of candidate can arrange for his/her flying at DGCA approved training provider for which the flying charges can be paid directly to them.

We conduct only ground subjects classes. 200 hrs. flying & their charges are extra.
