GAT 2014 :
Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), a deemed to be university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, known as GITAM University is a premier educational institution in the country having 33 years of track record in teaching and research of global standards. The University is located in three picturesque campuses at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. With a multi disciplinary approach, the University offers 118 programmes at UG, PG and Doctoral levels in Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law.

GAT Online Tests: GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses.

Eligibility Criteria :
Admission to B.Tech., B.Arch., & B.Pharmacy Programs GAT (UGTP) – 2014

The following are the criteria for admission to B.Tech. Programs:
Pass in Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2014 or 2013 subject to the following criteria:
B.Tech. Programs : A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
B.Pharmacy: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.
B.Arch:A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA / JEE (Main).
Rank obtained in GAT (UGTP) – 2014.

Candidates can apply in any one of the following methods:

Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/- for female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request for application by post will be accepted upto 21st March, 2014.

The filled – in application along with Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam – 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 31st March, 2014.

Instructions, Terms & Conditions :
1. Carefully read the GAT-2014 information brochure before you proceed to apply online. You can either download a copy of the brochure or read it online. Click here
2. Read and understand all the instructions and eligibility criteria for admission before proceeding to fill the online application form.
3. You are advised to take a print out of these instructions so that you can refer to the same while filling the form.
4. Once you confirm the data entered, you will not be allowed to change the same. Therefore, be careful before confirming.
5. After completing the form online, you will be required to take print out of the filled form. You should take two copies of the print out. Once you take the print out of the form affix your photograph, sign in the space provided, attach the Demand Draft / Pay order towards the application fee and send one copy of the same by registered post / speed post to the DIRECTOR-ADMISSIONS, GITAM UNIVERSITY, GANDHI NAGAR CAMPUS, RUSHIKONDA, VISAKHAPATNAM–530045, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA. Write the application number on the back of the Demand Draft. You should keep the second copy with you for your reference.
6. Before printing out the filled-in form, the system will generate an application number for you. Note down this number without fail which will be required for all future references.
7. If you do not have a printer attached to the computer, Click here to print your registered application form. Enter application number for taking print out of the application form at a later stage.
8. For best view use Internet Explorer while filling the application online, do not use the ‘Back’ button on the tool bar of your browser. Use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. Further, when you have completed applying, close all the open browser windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
9. Your online registration for GAT-2014 is complete only when the completed form with the Demand Draft / Pay order is received by the DIRECTOR-ADMISSIONS on or before 31st March 2014.
