Procedure to apply for New Ration Card through Online :
1. Please send applicant name in full as SMS to 9212357123 (example : RCNEW Karthik M Patil). In your “sms” the applicant name should be complete without any spelling errors, as it will not be allowed to do any change in the application.
2. As soon as you SMS the applicant name, your mobile will receive a “ Entry /token number and a security code” instantly.
3. Use this token number and the security code to open your online ration card application at the Photo Bio center in ( urban areas) or Gram Panchayath (in rural areas) in the presence of a valid Ration card holder as your introducer.
4. Fill up all your required family information in the online application format without any errors.
5. Upload your family members photographs and biometrics.
6. It is mandatory to carry your recent electricity bill, a photo ID proof and address proof original documents to the photo center. All these three documents should be scanned and uploaded online at the photo center with out fail.
7. It is also mandatory to introduce you as an applicant by any known valid ration card holder of your taluk .
8. Hence you have to be accompanied by a known valid card holder of your area as your INTRODUCER to the photo center, while uploading your family members biophoto details. The introducer should carry his original ration card and his resent electricity bill with him.
9. After the complete filling of your online application, get a “self declaration” downloaded and printed at the photo-bio center.
10. Self declaration should be jointly signed by the applicant and the photo-bio center login person., scan this signed declaration and upload online .

Applicant has to be accompanied by a known valid ration card holder of his taluk as his “Introducer” to the photo center, The introducer should carry his original ration card and his resent electricity bill with him.

** Voters identity card
** Adhar card (uid)
** Valid passport
** Pan card
** Driving licence
** Job card issued by nrega
** Lpg consumer book with photo
** Active bank passbook with attested photo issued by national, scheduled banks, post offices and kissan passbook.
** Photo idcards issued to the employees of defence / government/ public sector undertaking /reputed multinational companies/ public limited companies only.( private limited companies id cards will not be accepted)
** Photo id cards issued by post offices
** Senior citizen ship cards,
** Ex-servicemen id cards, pension documents with photographs
** Bar council/medical council/ icwai/ icsi cards with photographs
** Employee state insurance card (esic) with photograph
** Sc/st/obc caste certificate with photo issued to head of the family
** Property documents such as registered deeds with photograph
** Physically handicapped certificate with photograph.

** Electricity bill of within three month period
** Telephone bill of within three month period
** Voters identity card
** Adhar card (uid)
** Valid passport
** Driving licence
** Job card issued by nrega
** Active bank passbook with attested photo issued by national, scheduled banks, post offices and kissan passbook.
** Photo id cards issued by post offices
** Senior citizen ship cards,
