Pilot Training (CPL) :
Kompass Aviation has in association with India’s Leading Domestic Airline has designed a Commecial Pilot Training Programme.The course is so designed so to conduct Theory Classes,followed by the Flying Training abroad in Australia or US,then after the issue of DGCA CPL interview with the airline.
Kompass Aviation provides you with professional ground training for obtaining a CPL, using world class training aids, by highly qualified and current Airline Pilots as faculty, who provide you technical education using the syllabus, as per guidelines issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation.
The Pilot Ground School Training programme is now training aspiring pilots as per the new DGCA Regulations which came into effect on the 7th of August 2006. Kompass has a State of the Art Training facility for the Pilots with Computer Based Training provided as well. The aspiring Pilots are required to either complete the required 200 hours of flying in India or abroad. If the student wishes to do his flying training in India then Kompass Aviation is the sole representative in Mumbai for Ahmedabad Aviation Academy (Ahmedabad,Gujrat) alternatively if the student wishes to do his flying abroad in any of the Flying Schools that Kompass has tied-up with namely Sydney Flight Training Centre (Sydney, Australia) & Orion Aviation (California, USA). Kompass will provide all possible aid & also help the Student to get his DGCA license on completion of his Flying Training abroad.
What You Need to be a CPL :
For gaining a CPL (Commercial Pilot’s License) you need to undergo training in :
Ground Subjects
Air Regulations
ATC Flight Plans, ICAO Documents & Regulations, Aircraft Rules & Regulations governing India & applicable countries of operations, AIC, AIP, Radio Telephony & Communication Procedures etc.
Air Navigation :
General Navigation, Instruments, Radio Aids to Aviation including GPS and FANS, Flight Planning (Basic & Advanced), General Aircraft performance covering Piston, Turbo Prop and Jet Aircraft, Maps & Charts, High/Low Altitude Radio Navigation Charts, SIDS & STARS, Approach and Area Charts, Additionally latest navigational developments such as EFIS & FMS.
Meteorology :
Aviation Meteorology, Synoptic Meteorology, Indian Climatology, General Meteorology, High Altitude Meteorology, Met documents required for domestic and international flights etc.
Aircraft and Engines :
Theory of Flight (Basic and Advanced), High Speed Aerodynamics, Piston Engines, Turbo Prop and Jet Engines, Various Aircraft Systems and Airworthiness requirements for the aircraft.
Eligibility :
As per the new DGCA regulations, the eligibility criteria are.
** Should be minimum 10 + 2 (HSC) with Physics and Mathematics.
** Should clear a Class II Medical before commencement of his Training.
Medicals :
Before enrolling students will have to undergo a Class II Medical exam, with a appointed doctor, who is D.G.C.A and FAA approved. Class I Medical Certificate issued by Central Medical Establishment on behalf of Director of Medical Services, New Delhi needs to be obtained before the issuance of a Commercial Pilot License by D.G.C.A.
