1. Answer the following questions in about 400 words (any three) : (30)
(a) Describe the characteristics of Vedic Educational System. According to you which two characteristics should be woven in our modern education system ?
(b) Write a note on the recommendations of Wood’s dispatch in detail.
(c) State the reasons of the establishment of Indian Education Commission (1882-83) and describe its field of work.
(d) Describe the important recommendations of National Education Commission (1964-66).
(e) Explain the concept of ‘Distance Education’ and its importance in India.
2. (a) Compare the Vedic Education System with Buddhist Education System. (8)
(b) Describe the problems and the remedies of Modern Educational Pattern with reference to Gujarat State. (8)

(a) State the objectives and characteristics of Medieval Education Period. (8)
(b) Give the reason of the establishment of Sedlar Commission. Describe the recommendations done by the Commission for Indian Universities. (8)
