Job Vacancies :
1. Sheet Metal & Duct Fabricator :
Responsibility :
** Removal of existing cladding
** Good knowledge of A/C DUCTING & CLADDING work
** Calculation and lay out of Elbows, ‘T’ joints, Square to round, Reducers, Flange and valves boxes etc
** Fabrication of DUCTING & CLADDING.
** Making the template according to the size and shape
** Operating the sheet metal machineries
** Install the DUCTING & CLADDING As per the drawing on board vessels
Preferred Competencies :
** Good knowledge of fabrication & install of DUCTING & CLADDING with minimum of 3 years experience in sheet metal fabrication and fitting
** Good communication skill
2. Lifting Engineer :
Responsibility :
** Designing of Lifting Arrangement with structural integrity check for Structural blocks & modules, including Heavy Lifts using 2000T Floating crane.
** Preparation of design for temporary supporting structures/jigs during fabrication of hull sections, modules or other heavy constructions.
** Performing FEA and calculations to prove integrity of structure for lifting / supporting.
** Preparation of Load-out drawings using ATM system.
** Ensuring engineering work undertaken is in accordance with Departmental Work Instructions, Procedures and Standards.
** Maintaining the discipline of the department and yard.
** Conducting shipyard audits, risk assessment and training as required.
** Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
** Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Preferred Competencies :
** Mechanical Engineering, Naval architecture or Structural Engineering degree from a recognized university.
** Minimum 5 years experience in the marine field.
** At least 2 years experience in Lifting Design.
** Knowledge of AutoCAD.
** Working experience with FEM software’s viz. SESAM, STRAND7 or STAAD Pro or other FEA software.
