2. Works Inspector :
Job Ref : QASUP-201203
The Works Inspector has responsibility for checking the works are built in accordance with the drawings and specifications and will report to the Senior Works Inspector or Site Engineer.
Requirements :
** Degree or diploma
** Minimum 10 years experience
** Experienced user of Microsoft Office
** Knowledge of AutoCAD and document collaboration systems preferred
** Minimum 5 years experience on large road projects essential
Responsibilities :
** Familiarizes themselves with the Contract Drawings and Specification requirements
** Checks the Contractors work for compliance with the drawings and specification
** Records the approval or rejection of the works carried out by the Contractor
** Ensures that copies of records of all inspections are filed for future reference
3. Senior Land Surveyor :
Job Ref : QASUP-201206
The Land Surveyor has responsibility for checking that the works are constructed according to the datums and alignments shown on the Contract Drawings and will report to the Senior Site Engineer (ARE).
Requirements :
** BSC or equivalent with minimum of 10 years post graduate experience, 7 years of which must of been on large infrastructure projects
** Experienced user of Microsoft Office
** Experienced user of Micro-station or similar
** Conversant with the use of topographical survey software
** GCC experience preferred
Responsibilities :
The Senior Land Surveyor :
** Agree the reference points which will be used for the setting out
** Ensure the positional accuracy of the works
** Identify any positional or dimensional errors in the Contract Drawings to the Assistant Resident Engineer
** Report any works constructed to incorrect alignment or levels
** Ensure survey instruments are routinely calibrated.
** Verify the accuracy of the information contained on the as built drawings
4. Site Engineer :
Job Ref : QASUP-201204
The Site Engineer role is responsible for the review and inspection of contractor’s work across construction discipline projects in Qatar.
Requirements :
** BSc or equivalent with minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
** Experienced user of Microsoft Office
** Knowledge of AutoCAD and document collaboration systems preferred
** Minimum of 2 years GCC experience preferred
Responsibilities
** Ensure the work performed is in accordance with the drawings and specifications
** Maintain detailed diary of daily work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operations, labor and equipment used and sign at the end of each day
** Coordinate with contractor’s team to advise on execution of the work
** Coordinate with contractors team to arrange for sampling and testing of defective work and quality assurance of suspect materials
** Coordinate with surveyors to check line and levels in conformance with drawings and specifications
** Process request to inspect work forms and maintain record of status
** Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as-built drawings
** Make special notes and document contractors’ activities that may lead to claims
