About the Role :
The job holder is responsible for analyzing, designing and documenting IT solutions. Responsible for designing and delivering cost effective infrastructure solutions meeting the business requirements, and acting as a specialist in the assigned technology area and supporting the integration of that technology to other parts of the infrastructure. Lead in infrastructure projects as well as support production infrastructure, following the relevant processes, aligned to ITIL. The Solutions Architect works as a team member along with the Project Manager, Development Manager and Technical Team to deliver the complete solution for the customer.
In addition, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Your Responsibilities :
** Achieve solutions, project plans, milestones, within budget & timescales (number of projects initiated and successfully completed within budget).
** Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
** Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
** Ensure cost saving opportunities is exploited through consolidating and rationalizing project resources and operations.
** Achieve projects objectives with minimum down time.
** Achieve favorable customer satisfaction ratings.
** Ensure comprehensive information flow to stakeholders on specific projects. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
** Design and implement network/systems solutions including management of all third party service providers (contractors etc).
** Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign.
** Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements.
** Complete and co/implement a configuration workbook.
** Co-team with the Technical Team to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
** Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional
** design document.
** Lead the UAT efforts.
** Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts.
** Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings with the customer.
** Participate in internal projects as required.
** Identify, manage and execute project dependencies and critical path.
** Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
** Troubleshoot problem areas.
** Contribute to an environment of teamwork within the Technology Services team.
** Effectively work within the different technical and business teams.
** Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the Company’s business, building productive cross-functional relationships.
About You :
You should possess :
** University degree in the field of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
** CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
** CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
** CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
** Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
** Advanced certification in relevant technology management (SQL server / Oracle DB, Network routers/switches, Windows servers, ISA server, Exchange Server and desktop products…etc).
Experience :
** 5 -7 years of relevant experience in professional services, sales or customer support operations of which 2-3 years should be in systems integration and/or implementation experience.
** Proven Solutions consulting experience.
** Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
** Tough, mature attitude and able to deal effectively with contractors.
** Sound problem analysis and solution delivery – a “can do” attitude.
** Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
** Supervising, coaching, and mentoring of network services assistant position.
** Team orientation and desire to excel.
** Ability to contribute technically to new ideas and feasibility studies and business analysis.
** Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
** Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
** Highly developed verbal and written communications.
** IT infrastructure Administration and planning.
** Relevant technology domain such as Network, Servers, Databases, Voice technologies etc.
