Pay Scale : Pay band-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with AGP of Rs.6000/ Rs.7000 / Rs. 8000/-.

Qualification / Experience:
1. Assistant Professor (AGP of Rs.8000/-) :
Ph.D., with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch/discipline with a very good academic record throughout.
Candidate should have at least 3 years industrial / research / teaching experience excluding however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
2. Assistant Professor on contractual basis : Candidates not eligible for direct recruitment and possessing Ph.D. degree may be placed at this level in Pay Band (PB)-3: 15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.6000/- with seven non-compoundable advance increments. After one year, they shall be eligible for AGP of Rs.7,000/- p.m.
Upper Age Limit: Age preferably below 35 years
Emoluments:
a. Assistant Professor :
Pay band (PB-3): Rs.15600-39100/- with AGP: Rs.8,000/-
Minimum pay in the pay band: Rs.30000/- + AGP Rs.8,000/-
Gross Emoluments per month as on Dec 2013 including AGP, DA, TA and HRA is approximately: 90000/-
b. Assistant Professor on Contractual Basis :
Pay band (PB-3): Rs.15600-39100/- with AGP: Rs.6,000/-
Minimum pay in the pay band: Rs.20140/- + AGP Rs.6,000/-
Gross Emoluments per month as on Dec 2013 including AGP, DA, TA and HRA is approximately: 64000/-
