RENEWAL OF AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE IN INDIA :
The renewal application may be made from 2 months before the expiry of the license.

Documents required for renewal License:
1. Letter Addressed to Asst. Wireless Advisor for Renewal of License.
2. Demand Draft
3. Copy of License / latest renewal card
4. Self declaration for having made 40 contacts per year.
5. Self addressed envelope
6. Attested copy of Date of Birth (if applying for Life Long renewal)

The renewal fee is as follows :
Category of licence : 20 Years / Life
Restricted / General : Rs 1000/ Rs. 2000

Other Information:
a. Late fee shall be paid at Rs.100/- for every 6 months or part, after date of expiry of licence.
b. The renewal fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn only from State
Bank of India in favour of PAO (HQ),
DOT and payable at New Delhi Service
Branch No.7687.
c. Please write your call sign and licence number on the back of the Demand Draft.
d. Life Long” means till the licence holder attains the age of 80 years.
e. Validity of lifelong licence may be extended on specific request of the licence holder for 10 years at a time without any additional payment.
f. The license is renewable up to 5 years from expiry of license. For application submitted after five years from date of expiry, justification is required for non-submission of renewal application within stipulated period.
g. If change of address is also applicable, please submit original licence along with additional payment of Rs. 200/-.
h. Please send the application only by normal post / Registered Post / Speed Post. (Not by courier)
