Selection will be held for 8 (eight) posts as under in North Eastern Police Academy, Meghalaya

1. Name of the post : Constable (General Duty)
Pay Scale : PB-1, Rs. 5,200-20,000 + Rs. 1800 (GP)
No. of post : 04 (four)
Age : 18 to 27 years, as on 20/11/2013
Qualification : Matriculation from a recognized Board or University

2. Name of the post : Constable (Motor Transport)
Pay Scale : PB-1, Rs. 5,200-20,000 + Rs. 1800 (GP)
No. of post : 01 (one)
Age : 18 to 27 years,
Qualification : Matriculation from recognized Board or University and possessing;
(i) Valid driving license for light or heavy vehicles issued by the Transport Authority
(ii) three years driving experience; and
(iii) Fair knowledge in vehicle maintenance.

3. Name of the post : Constable (Motor Transport Mechanic)
Pay Scale : PB-1, Rs. 5,200-20,000 + Rs. 1800 (GP)
No. of post : 02 (one)
Age : 18 to 27 years
Qualification :
(i) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University or Board with;
(ii) Diploma in Motor Mechanism from a recognized institution; and
(iii) should possess a valid driving license of light or medium or heavy vehicles.
Experience:
(i) two years experience in vehicles repairs in some established workshop.
(ii) Should qualify in trade test.

4. Name of the post : Library & Information Assistant.
Pay Scale : PB-2, Rs. 9300+34800+ Rs. 4200 (GP)
No. of post : 01 (one)
Age : Not exceeding 28 years
Qualification :
(i) Graduate from a recognized University and Bachelor of Library Science (B. Lib.) from a recognized university.
(ii) At least 2 years library experience in any recognized institution in the field.

Physical Standards : ( Only for all Constable General Duty and Constable Motor Transport)
(i) Height – 165 Cms (Minimum)
(ii) Chest (a) 79 Cms-Unexpanded (Minimum)
(b) 84 Cms- Expanded (Minimum)

(A) For Constable :
Application, as per Annexure I, to be filled by the candidates and brought by them on 20.11.2013 during selection test. No advance application is required to be sent.
Candidates are required to report with the duly filled application form, copies of required certificates (domicile, age, caste, technical qualification, experience etc.) alongwith their originals. The reporting time is 0800 hrs on 20.11.2013.

(B) For Library & Information Assistant:
Application in enclosed proforma duly filled, along with self attested copies of all required documents (domicile, age, qualification, experience) and one self-addressed stamped envelope should be sent to the
