Merit cum Means Based Scholarship For Students Belonging To Minority Communities For Year 2014-15:
Minorities & Backward Classes welfare Department,Govt of Odisha invites online applications for award of Merit cum Means based scholarship for the 2014-15 to meritorious students of Odisha belonging to Minority Communities (i.e. Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh and Parsee) pursuing Technical/Professional Courses at Under Graduate / Post Graduate level in recognized Institutions under recognized Universities of Odisha and other recognized Universities of other States of India .

Eligibility:
1. Students must be permanent resident of Odisha.
2. Income ceiling of parents shall not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
3. Minimum eligibility mark is 50%,secured in the last final examination of the Board/ University .
4. 30% scholarship is earmarked for girl students.
Documents to be enclosed:
1. One Passport size photograph duly signed,
2. Certificates in support of educational qualification/Income/Caste duly attested,
3. 1st page of Savings Bank Pass Book mentioning correct A/C no,IFSC code, MICR Code of the Bank,

2. Last date for submission of Online applications for fresh scholarship by students-30th September, 2014
3. Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online renewal application by students to State Department through respective institutes-10th October, 2014
4. Last date for Scrutiny of online applications by institutes-20th October, 2014
5. Last date for Scrutiny of online applications by State / UT Department-31st October, 2014
6.Generation of Merit List and Submission of fresh proposals by State / UT Department between 01st November to 05th November, 2014

2. Last date for submission of Online applications for renewal scholarship by students- 15th November, 2014
3. Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online renewal application by students to State Department through respective institutes. 20th November, 2014
4.Last date for scrutiny of online applications by institutes-25th November, 2014
5. Last date for Scrutiny of online applications by State / UT Department-05th December, 2014
6.Submission of renewal proposals by State Department between 07th December, 2014
Application Procedure:
Eligible students are advised to fill up their application ONLINE by accessing www.momascholarship.gov.in. and obtain a print out of the duly filled in application forms and submit the same along with all supporting documents to concerned District Welfare Officer through their respective Institute where studying.
Submission of hard copies of applications and documents with recommendation of the Head of the Institution before the DWOs is mandatory. Without receipt of hard copies within due date the application is likely to be rejected.
The students who have availed MCM scholarship for 2013-14 and not changed their course shall apply for Renewal scholarship Other applicants to apply for FRESH scholarship.

Note:
Applicants have to be very careful and give their Bank Account information in the specified box of the online application. Any wrong entry or mismatch in case of Bank information the Department will not be responsible for mis-credit.
