EIGHTH ANNUAL VIJAY AWARDS: VOTING ACTIVITY (POLL)’ RULES :
EIGHTH ANNUAL VIJAY AWARD: VOTING ACTIVITY (POLL)’ will be held on VIJAY (“Channel”) as stated hereunder:
1. The Poll shall commence from 18th June 2014 at 10:00 hours and would be open until 23:59 hours on 25th June 2014. The Channel reserves the right to modify the time line at its sole discretion at any later date. However the modified time lines will be notified to the voters in the revised Rules governing the Poll which will be uploaded in the Channel’s website.

2. During the Poll, the Channel will telecast the names of the nominees under various categories morefully detailed below everyday from June 13, 2014 at 11:00 hours. Vijay Television Private Limited (“VTPL”) and/or the Channel reserve the right to change the dates, the timings and days of the telecast of names of the nominees, without giving prior written intimation to the voters.

There will be 5 Categories for which a voter can vote through SMS/IVRS/Online and select the winner by involving in the Poll. They are

3) Vijay TV Panel has nominated 5 nominees for each aforementioned category as listed below. The list will be telecast in the Channel commencing from June 13, 2014.

4. The voting public by participating in the Poll will get an opportunity to cast their vote in favour of any of their favourite Category.

5. A voting person interested in casting their vote for choosing their favorite category, could follow either of the steps stated herein below:
5.1 SMS- A Voting person choosing to vote in a particular category must SMS the CATEGORY CODE (A/B/C/D/E) and send to 57827. It is further explained that the voting person must
i) SMS ‘A’ to Vote for his/her Favorite Hero
ii) SMS ‘B’ to Vote for his/her Favorite Heroine
iii) SMS ‘C’ to Vote for his/her Favorite Film
iv) SMS ‘D’ to Vote for his/her Favorite Director
v) SMS ‘E’ to Vote for his/her Favorite Song
In return the voting person will get a reply message with the numbers allotted to the nominees under that category to enable the voter to choose his/her favorite Hero/Heroine/Film/Director/Song
Only SMS sent in this prescribed format will be counted as a valid vote and others will be rejected.
No disputes will be entertained in this regard. SMS sent through Aircel and BSNL Mobile Operators will not be considered for voting.

5.2 IVRS: The subscribers of Airtel, Vodafone and Tata Docomo can only participate in Poll conducted through IVRS. The voting public can Dial 5782701 from their respective mobile phones and follow the instructions of the recorded voice.

5.3 Online Voting: Log on to vijayawards.in and follow the instructions stated on the website.

6. The cost charged to the voters by the mobile operators for voters will be as follows:
6.1 For SMS: Each SMS shall be charged by the respective mobile operators at the rate of Rs. 3/- per SMS. For Vodafone, Idea, Tata, Reliance, Airtel ROI (Rest of India) and Rs. 5/- per SMS for Airtel TN & Chennai.
6.2 For IVRS: – Each IVRS shall be charged by the respective mobile Operators as follows

6.3 The cost of each SMS and IVRS shall be charged by the respective operators. Neither VTPL nor the Channel shall be responsible in case of any network problem and/or the costs charged by the mobile operator or breakdown of the machinery or any other default or problems which may occur due to the voting mechanism or any problems in connection thereto. VTPL shall not be responsible for any dispute in connection to the same and all disputes in this regard should be settled directly between the subscriber and the respective mobile/landline operator without involving VTPL and/or the Channel.

7. Vote(s) sent after the time period stated herein above shall not be considered and shall be null and void.

8. The winners out of the nominations in the Favourite Category will be based on the weighted average of the votes received from the public, scores of the jury and the choice of the Vijay Editorial team. The weightage for the votes received from public, scores of the jury and the choice of the Vijay Editorial team shall be in the ratio 45:10:45

9. In case of any conflict on the choice of nominee or winner of a particular category Vijay TV’s decision shall be final and binding

10. The voting public can send any number of entries to choose any of their favorite Categories by casting their vote as much as possible without any cap.

11. It is expressly stated that this is simply a Poll to enable the voting public to choose their favorite Hero/Heroin/Film/Director/Song in the Tamil Film Industry mentioned in Rule 2 and Rule 3. Therefore, there shall be no winners declared or Prizes distributed for participating in this Poll.
