Scholarship :
HTIR Scholarship of Appreciation :
HTIR offers a $500 Scholarship of Appreciation divided in the first two semesters of study. Students must submit the HTIR scholarship form with their application packet.

Penmen Merit Scholarships :
New international students may be eligible for merit awards based on previous academic success.

Graduation Programs :
Graduate students must have the equivalent of a 3.0/4.0 GPA to be considered. Maximum award is $3000 for the length of the degree program. Scholarship awards are distributed in two installments during the first two graduate terms.

Required Application Documents :

4. Bank Statement :
Bank statement : Either, (a) a copy of a current Bank Statement in US dollars in students name for at least ($13,000 Coleman), (Findlay $26,000), ($17,600 Lincoln), ($31,574 SNHU) US dollars (if you are providing your own financial support) or, (b) letter of support written and signed by the financial sponsor along with his/her current bank statement.

5. Letter Of Support :
If using a sponsor’s bank statement, the sponsor also needs to provide a letter of support that states “I am the sponsor for (student’s name) and I intend to provide him/her with support during the first year at Coleman in the amount of ______.

6. English Proficiency Documentation :
Sufficient evidence may be a TOEFL score of 500 or more (80 internet-based or 213 computer base), or, an IELTS score of 6.0, or, a score of 760 or more on the TOEIC test. If you have not taken any of the above tests you may provide evidence that you have studied at least one year in a university where English was the medium of instruction by sending an official letter from your undergraduate university confirming that.

8. Two Letters Of Recommendation :
The recommendation letters must come from someone who can comment on your work skills, such as an employer, a coworker, or a professor who has assessed your work ability. The letters should provide an assessment of your ability to successfully complete graduate studies and succeed in an employment situation.

9. Transcripts Of Universities Attended :
Include a copy of your official or attested transcripts for every year that you studied at the university level. It is important that the transcripts show all subject taken and all grades or marks earned for each subject. It also is very helpful if the grading system of the university is shown on each record. You will need to show you have the equivalent of a 2.50 GPA or greater. (If your original transcripts are in a language other than English, a copy of that transcript, along with the English translation, also needs to be submitted.)

10. Bachelor Degree Documentation :
Copies of your certificate or diploma showing you have earned a Bachelor Degree. (If issued in another language, submit an English translation also).

11. Dependent Documentation :
If you are planning on bringing your spouse and/or children, you will need to provide copies of the dependent’s passports, along with a letter giving the following details for each family member you plan on bringing : Full name, date of birth, country of Birth, and country of citizenship. You also will need to show an increase in the bank statement of $6,000 per family member that you are planning on bringing.

12. Additional Documents :
If you are in the U.S. a) If you are currently enrolled at a US university or college, a completed transfer form, b) Copies of visa, passport, I-94 and I-20 (if applicable), and c) foreign address.

Undergraduate Programs :
Undergraduate students must have the equivalent of a 2.75/4.0 GPA to be considered. In order to renew the award for the next year, students must have a 3.0 GPA here at SNHU. Maximum award is $5000 annually. Scholarship awards are distributed in two installments over the academic year.

Submit either (a) a copy of your own current Bank Statement for $16,000 US Dollars, or its equivalent, or, (b) a copy of your sponsor’s bank statement showing at least $16,000 US dollars, or its equivalent.

If using a sponsor’s bank statement, the sponsor also needs to provide a letter of support that states “I am the sponsor for (student’s name) and I intend to provide him/her with support during the first year at University in the amount of ______.

Athletic scholarships are available to outstanding athletes in basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer (football), tennis, baseball, softball, and volleyball. Scholarship amounts vary and are determined by the coaches.
