Combined Merit Scholarship :
Applications are invited for the Combined Merit Scholarship provided to the students of Assam for Pursuing Degree and Master Degree Courses in any recognized Universities in the State and other States of the Country as mentioned below

The scholarship will be awarded only to the candidate with uniformly good Academic records and who have obtained at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination and who are the bonafide residents of Assam are provided that they fulfill the other required conditions.

Intending candidates will have to submit their application duly filled up in the prescribed form alongwith attested copies of all certificates from H.S.L.C. Examination onwards to the Director of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati – 781 019 on or before 30th November,2013 positively through the head of the Institution.

Intending candidates may collect the application format from the Director of Higher Education, Assam’s Website www.dheassam.gov.in.

An award once made will be tenable for the Age of course for which it is given subject to good conduct and regularity in Attendance and will be renewed if the ward / student is promoted to next year class, subject to good Progress Report and recommendation of appropriate academic authorities.

For Renewal of Scholarship candidates are advice to submit the application Format with Progress Report through the head of Institution concerns.

2) 100 Nos. for P.G. Course -Rs. 250/- P.M.

Post Graduate Research Scholarship :
Applications are invited for the following Post Graduate Research Scholarships for the year 2013- 2014 from eligible students of Assam for Research works / study within the State / Outside the State.

The Scholarships will be awarded only to the candidates with uniformly good academic records who have obtained at least 55% marks in the qualifying Examination and who are the bonafide residents of Assam, provided that they fulfill the other required conditions. The candidates should apply alongwith all Certificate and Marksheets from H.S.L.C. Examination onwards to the Director of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati – 781 019 on or before 30th November,2013 positively through the Registrar / Head of the Department and the concerned Supervisor / Guide of the University.

The Selected candidates will have to execute a bond before awarding the scholarship to the effect that the entire scholarship amount drawn by the scholar shall be refunded if he / she discontinues the research work / study during the tenure of scholarship for violation any terms and conditions of the award.
