4th Max Life Insurance i-genius Scholarships 2014 :
Max Life Insurance i-genius Scholarship Programme, one of the largest corporate scholarship programmes in India, is back with its 4th edition to recognize and reward all-round talent in children.
Eligibility :
This Programme is open for students of classes 3 to 8, studying in government recognized schools including private, public or national open schools/home schools all over India. The student must be an Indian national or a NRI, resident in India for the duration of the Programme (“Participant”). The
Participants shall be classified into two categories for the purpose of evaluation under this Programme:
(i) i-genius Junior, which will consist of Participants studying in classes 3 to 5 and
(ii) i-genius Senior, which will consist of Participants studying in classes 6 to 8.
The category to which the Participant belongs will be determined as per the class the Participant is studying in as on 1st January 2014.
No fee is required to be paid for participating in this Programme. In order to avoid any conflict of interest, children of employees or directors of Max Life, Derek O’Brien & Associates and Havas Wordwide India Private Limited. shall not be eligible to participate in this Programme. Moreover, the Grand First Prize Winners of previous scholarship programmes under the i-genius programme held in 2010, 2011 and 2012 shall not be eligible to participate in the same category in which they have already won the Grand First Prize. However, if they meet the eligibility criteria for other categories, they may participate in other categories of this Programme.
Duration :
The Programme duration is from 17th December, 2013 till 31st August 2014.
Registration Process :
Participants can register for this Programme through their parents/ guardian by filling up a registration form and submitting the same through any one of the following media:
i) Online via the Website
ii) Through other digital media (i.e. other websites where the programme is publicized);
iii) Through i-genius Facebook page www.facebook.com/igeniusprogramme
iv) Max Life representatives including distributors of Max Life.
A Participant who attempts to register for the Programme using multiple media, will have only his/her first completed registration form received by Max Life considered for the Programme.An incomplete registration form or a registration form in which the information provided is not factually correct is liable to be rejected by Max Life at its sole and absolute discretion. The registration form shall be deemed to be incomplete or contain incorrect/false details/information if any of the following mandatory fields contain incorrect details or is left blank :
a) Name of Participant
b) Date of Birth of Participant,
c) Class in which Participant is studying in,
d) Name of the School where Participant is studying
e) Name of parent/guardian,
f) Parent/guardian’s email id
g) Parent/guardian’s mobile number,
h) Address of the Participant with correct pin code.
Note :
Please note that some of the abovementioned fields may not be asked for at the time of registration through the methods of registration mentioned in Clause 4(ii) and (iii). However, the same may be requested by Max Life at anytime during the currency of, after the duration of the Programme or at thetime of disbursement of prizes, for verification and other allied purposes. Max Life shall not be responsible in any event whatsoever for the Participant’s inability to participate due to computer malfunction, internet failure, other technical disruption, and acts of God or otherwise.
Programme Details :
The Programme will be carried out in three rounds. The registration for the first round of the Programme will be open from December 17, 2013 to May 31, 2014. Entries received after this period shall not be considered for participation in the Programme. Max Life has the sole and absolute right to close or extend the registration period by any time at its sole discretion. If at any stage, the Participant does not appear for the scheduled round, they would be automatically held to be disqualified from the programme.
a. Round 1 :
Round 1 shall consist of an online examination on the Website. The examination shall be conducted from January 10, 2014 to June 15, 2014.
b. Round 2 :
Participants qualifying in Round 1 will be allowed to appear in Round 2. Round 2 shall consist of an interview of the Participant with a select jury panel via video conferencing at venues in cities mandated by Max Life. The Participants would have to travel to the venue at their own expense. The dates and the schedule of the video conferencing and venue for the same shall be informed to the parents/guardians of the Participants in advance.
Round 3 :
Participants qualifying in Round 2 will be eligible to appear in Round 3. Round 3 would be a Grand Finale to be held at New Delhi. The dates and venue of the Grand Finale shall be notified to the parents/ guardians of the Participants who are eligible to appear in the same, in advance. The eligible Participants would be required to provide the proof of their academic and extra-curricular achievements. Max Life will bear reasonable costs of travel to New Delhi, boarding and lodging of the eligible Participant and one parent/ guardian of such Participant.The dates as mentioned herein are subject to change at the sole discretion of Max Life and a notice of the same will be published on the Website. Parents/guardians of the Participants are advised to regularly check the Website for details.
Evaluation :
The Participants will be evaluated at every round of the Programme on the basis of criteria fixed by Max Life. The evaluation will be conducted by Derek O’Brien & Associates on behalf of Max Life. The decision of Max Life based on the evaluation by Derek O’Brien & Associates, on the selected participants shall be final, binding and non-contestable. Max Life shall not entertain any query in this regard.
Winners And Prizes :
Winners will be determined based on the scores obtained by them in Round 3. There will be one Grand First Prize winner in each category (Junior & Senior) who will receive a scholarship of Rs. 10 Lakhs. There will be 9 second prize winners in each category (Junior & Senior) who will each receive a scholarship of Rs. 100,000/- each. There will be 40, 3rd prize winners in each category who will each receive a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- each. Merit Certificates will be awarded to 450 Participants in each category. In case of a tie between two or more Participants, the amount of scholarship shall be equally split between them. The scholarship payout will be made in India, in Indian rupees (INR).
Result Intimation :
The final results of each round will be notified to the parents/guardians of the qualifying/winning Participants, as applicable, at their email id, registered with Max Life.
