Application are invited for the Post of Registrar, Professor, Associate Professor, Asst. Prof. of Law and GNLU-Microsoft IPR Chair Professor
1 Post Title: Registrar
Pay scale: 37400-67000 with AGP 10000
Department : Office of the Registrar
Required:
1) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale.
2) At least 15 years’ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000 and above or with 8 years’ of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education OR
15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Preferred:
1) A candidate having experience and aptitude for similar duties.
2) Experience and knowledge of unique nature and functioning of the National Law University System.
3) Ability to function simultaneously as a law or interdisciplinary subject teacher in a particular subject.
4) Demonstrated knowledge of modern electronic student record storage and delivery systems.
5) Demonstrated knowledge of UGC, Government of India, BCI, NAAC and Government of Gujarat regulations.
6) Demonstrated problem solving skills.
7) A proven record in working successfully with persons from various backgrounds.
8) A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
9) Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and cross-functional teams.
10) Strong interpersonal, team building as well as oral and written communication skills.
2 Post Title: Professor
Pay scale: 37400-67000 with AGP 10,000/- (Net take home approximately Indian Rs 100,000)
Department : Academic Department
Essential:
(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation in Tables I to IX of Appendix III. OR
An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
Highly desirable:
(v) Experience in post-graduate teaching;
(vi) Research and teaching experience in National Law University.
(vii) Essential interdisciplinary knowledge and experience: Only candidates having interdisciplinary knowledge and experience in law and economics, business administration, political science, international relations, sociology, public administration may apply.
3 Post Title: Associate Professor
Pay scale: 37400-67000 with AGP 9000/-
Department : Academic Department
Essential:
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field.
(ii) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC regulations.
Desirable:
i) Experience in post-graduate teaching and guiding masters / doctoral dissertations.
ii) Essential interdisciplinary knowledge and experience: Only candidates having interdisciplinary knowledge and experience in law and economics, business administration, political science, international relations, sociology, public administration may apply.
4 Post Title: Assistant Professor of Law (Entry Level)
Pay scale: 15600-39100 with AGP Rs. 6000/- (Net take home approximately Indian Rs 40,000)

Essential Criteria:
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii), candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
Highly desirable:
(i) Experience in teaching/research in premier law universities/colleges.
(ii) Excellent inter-personal and team-building skills;
(iii) Ability to innovate and to improve academic programmes or services and to pursue interesting new ideas and new methods;
