iKen Scientifica Competition :
It is one of the world’s largest science and technology competition which involves experiential learning. It familiarizes students with various concepts that are conducive to scientific learning and improves their investigative, analytical and critical thinking abilities. It also provides an international platform for students to prove their mettle. In its sixth year iKen Scientifica competition has reached 15 countries, 230 cities in India, covering 3000 schools and has touched over 6, 00,000 students since its inception. It is a multi level competition that test students on different parameters and is open to students in classes 4th to 9th.

Genesis :
iKen Scientifica is an expedition, which re-affirms the fact that education begins with posing questions. Realizing the importance of hands-on activities for effective science education, iKen Scientifica invites children to utilize their imagination and curiosity and think out of the box. The competition does not require elaborate preparation. An open mind and willingness to think creatively are the only prerequisites. Participants who employ an optimum combination of creativity, observation, common sense, intelligence and diligence will emerge as “Global Icons”.

Competition Structure :
iKen Scientifica is a global science competition presented by Mexus Education Pvt. Ltd. About 5,00,000 students from over 15 countries participate each year in this competition. Students varying from standard 4th to standard 9th are eligible to participate. There are 3 participation categories – Level 1 (standard 4th & 5th), Level 2 (Standard 6th & 7th) and Level 3 (Standard 8th & 9th).
Like every year, iKen Scientifica, 2013 is a multi-round competition. Participants will be shortlisted after each round. The winner/winners after all the rounds will get to chance to visit The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA); all expenses covered by Mexus Education Pvt. Ltd.
