Number Of Seats :
The sanctioned intake of this programme for 2014-2016 is 90. The seats are available in two categories i.e. Govt- Funded Seats & Self-Financed Seats.
Regular Category : 60 Seats
Self-financed Category : 30 Seats
Essential Qualifications : Admission criteria for both category of seats (Govt. Funded Seats and Self-Financed Seats) will be same. The eligibility criterion is as under:
i) Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] 10+2+3 system.
ii) The minimum percentage requirement is of 50% (45% for SC/ST applicants).
iii) Basis for admission is the current year CAT Score i.e. 2013
Note: Although the Institute will use current session scores in CAT to shortlist candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Degree Programme in Management, the IIM’s have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Fee- Structure :
For Regular Seats: The fee for the regular seats is same as the fee-structure for other PG courses of the institute. The tuition fee is Rs 17,500 per semester. At the time of admission total fees to be paid by day scholar is Rs. 30,250 including Rs.5,000 refundable security and for hostler it is Rs. 37,250 inclusive of Rs. 12,000 Security .Room charges may be Rs.3000,Rs.1800, Rs. 1600, Rs.650 depending on Single, Double, Triple or Four Seater room choice
For Self-Financed Seats: The fee to be paid at the time of admission is Rs. 75,500 inclusive of hostel and refundable caution deposits. The tuition fee for self-finance category is Rs. 50,000 per semester. The fee structure is subject to periodic revision without prior notice.
Application Fee : An application fee of Rs.1000/- is to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft obtained from State Bank of India only in favour of Director, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, payable at NIT Kurukshetra Branch (Code 6260), Kurukshetra
How to Apply :
i) Download the Application Form from the website. Fill and send the application form complete in all respects along with all relevant documents and application fee before the due date. Applicants List will be put up on the institute website along with the Group Discussion/ Personal Interview schedule to be held at NIT Kurukshetra in the month of May 2014.
NO SEPARATE INTIMATION WILL BE GIVEN FOR GROUP DISCUSSION/ PERSONAL INTERVIEW.
ii) Based on the performance in Group Discussion/ Personal Interview and CAT score a merit list is prepared and displayed on the institute website. Waitlisted candidates are offered admission if seats stay vacant.
iii) Application form, complete in all respect, along with requisite D.D. of Rs.1,000/- should be sent/submitted to
