Innovations for a Better Tomorrow (IBETO)
RULES AND EVENT DETAILS :
General:
** Abstracts for technically innovative ideas must be sent to ibeto@excelmec.org on or before 15th April, 2014.
** Participants can chose either of the problem statements or send their own innovative idea.
** The idea should be technology based, should have a positive impact on society and must be realizable as a project.
** The ideas and their abstracts must be from the Engineering domain, from any branch/stream.
** There are no restrictions on the number of abstract entries per team.
** 10 teams will be shortlisted, and these teams will have to implement their project.
** The selected teams will be intimated through telephone and e-mail.
** The teams will be assigned a mentor to guide and support them, until the completion of the project.
** Funds will be provided to complete the project, as per need and project progress.
** All completed projects will be awarded a certificate of completion, authenticated by supporting institutions, faculty and mentors.
** All completed projects will be exhibited at Excel 2014.
** The coordinators of the event reserve the right to take appropriate decisions in case of any issues/conflicts.
** Decisions of the judges shall be final and binding.
** The coordinators reserve the right to reject any entry.
** Rules are subject to change at any point of time.
Eligibility:
** Participants may be undergraduate or postgraduate students with an upper age limit of 26 years.
Team Specifications:
** IBETO is individual or a team event. The maximum number of members in a team is 4.
** Team members need not be from the same institution.
Abstract Entry Details:
** Abstracts of the idea are to be sent as a .pdf file to ibeto@excelmec.org, as per specified format.
** Specify the subject of mail as <Engg. Stream*> <Team Name> <Project Title>. *[Engg. Stream :
Electronics and/or Communication, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical etc.] Abstracts must not exceed 600 words.
** The entries have to be original. Duplicated/copied ideas will not be considered.
** The coordinators are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information entered by the participants.
