Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., (GAIC) a State Government Enterprise, is implementing Radiation Processing Plant for Agro & Food Products at Bavla, Dist. Ahmedabad. The Project is under advance stage of implementation. The Project is expected to process Agro and Food Products.
GAIC invites applications from suitable candidates having following qualifications and experience and well versed with Gujarati & English languages for contractual appointment:-
Post : Certified Plant Operators
Education Qualification : Graduates in Science (Physics) / Diploma in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Post : Certified Radiological Safety Officers (R.S.O.)
Education Qualification : Post Graduate in Science (Physics) / B.E. (Electrical) or (Mechanical)
Work experience : 2 years experience in Radiation Processing Unit

Plant Operators:
Responsibilities:-
** Licenced Operator
** Product Storage and Processing
** Records of Processing Breakdown and Maintenance
** Placement of Dosimeters and Retrieval
** Cycle Time
** Message Book for Shift Incharge
** Equipment and Plant Maintenance
** Calibration of Instrument
** Inventory of Spares required for the Plant
** Any interruption in the Plant Operation and Action taken
Radiological Safety Officers (R.S.O.):
Responsibilities:-
** Licenced R.S.O.
** General Safety checks of the facility and any unusual occurrence
** Periodical checking of all Safety Systems provided in the facility
** Local Safety Committee Recommendation and their Implementation
** Calibration of Portable Survey meters.
** Process Specifications
** Shift Management
** Product Scheduling
** Good Radiation Practice
** Maintenance of Record pertaining to Plant Operation and Product Procesing.
** Periodical Preventive Maintenance
** Inventory of Plant Wares
** Servicing of Equipments
The appointment will be purely on contractual basis for a period of months, which may be extended on mutual consent for a maximum period of 3 years.
The selected candidates shall not be entitled for any service benefits otherwise available to regular employees of the Corporation.
