The admissions in different undergraduate and post graduate programmes running in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur shall be made through the admission test and counseling conducted under the supervision and control of the University Admission Committee (UAC). The UAC has absolute right for conducting the admission process, and to decide about modalities of admissions, allotment of seats and all matters related to the admissions in the University with the approval of Vice Chancellor, MMMUT, Gorakhpur.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS :
1. The candidate has the option to submit his/her candidature for Admission Test-2014 examination either by ON-Line or by OMR application form mode.

2. Candidates are advised to go through all the points in the Check-list before finally mailing the Conifrmation Page of On-Line application form or OMR application form.

3. The completed application form through either any one of the modes should be sent by registered/speed post to The Coordinator, Admissions-2014, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Deoria Road, Gorakhpur – 273010 (U.P.) so as to reach by 5 p.m. on or before 29th April, 2014 for B.Tech./M.B.A./M.C.A. and 26th May 2014 for M.Tech./Ph.D. courses.

4. The Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur will not be responsible for any lapse or delay in receipt of the confirmation page of ON-Line mode application alongwith Bank Challan or OMR application form, which may be either on the part of the Post Office or for any other reason whatsoever.

5. Do not fold OMR application form nor attach any enclosure with it. Use the envelope provided for sending it to University.

6. Admission Test for B.Tech./MBA/MCA is open only to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions given in this Information Brochure. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of verification of documents, failing which the candidature shall stand cancelled. In M.Tech./Ph.D. courses the preference shall be given to the students having domicile status of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) and subsequently the candidate having domicile outside U.P. will be considered only if seats are vacant.

7. Accepting admission in the University implies acceptance by the candidate and his/her parents or guardians, of all the provisions given in this Brochure and the University rules as applicable. Any change in the rules, regulations, fees and special conditions etc. of the University shall mutatis mutandis apply to the admitted candidate.

8. Candidates seeking advantage of reserved categories, weightage etc. are required to indicate the same but not to enclose any supporting certificates with the application form. The advantage of horizontal reservation is not admissible to the candidates seeking admission to M.Tech./Ph.D. These certificates in original will have to be produced at the time of document verification along with one attested copy of each one of them. The proforma of certificates are given at the end of this Information Brochure at Appendix-C, these are subject to change even upto the starting date of counseling as per orders of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh/University. Note that the certificate no. 2 for OBC candidates will be valid only when it is issued on or after 01.04.2014 (mandatory due to conditions of creamy layer for OBC).

9. Candidates, who are due to appear at the qualifying examination or have appeared, but results are awaited, are also eligible to appear in the ADMISSION TEST-2014. However, the candidates in respect of whom, the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of document verification due to any reason whatsoever, shall not be eligible for admission under any circumstances.

10. The result of Admission Test- 2014 for respective courses as declared by the University shall be final. However, the candidate can get his/ her answer sheets scrutinized on payment of Rs. 10000/- per paper within 07 days of declaration of result. The application for scrutiny may be submitted to The Coordinator, Admissions-2014, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Deoria Road, Gorakhpur–273010, in writing. This fee shall be refunded in case of genuinity of the claim.

11. If any document/declaration submitted by the candidate is found to be false at any stage, his/her candidature for admission shall be cancelled and he/she may be liable for prosecution under the law. In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction will be limited to Gorakhpur courts only.

12. The candidate must himself/herself ensure about his/her eligibility to appear in the Admission Test. If a candidate, who is not eligible to appear in the examination, does so; he/she will not have any claim whatsoever, for admission to any course through Admission Test- 2014.

13. The cost of Information Brochure and OMR Application form inclusive of entrance Examination Fee for Admission Test- 2014 or ON-Line application submission, is Rs. 1500/- for General & OBC category and Rs. 750/- for girls of all categories and SC/ST categories for all courses.

14. The number of courses and their intake may increase or decrease upto the date of counseling.

15. If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of document verification. In case, such a certificate is not provided by the candidate, the decision of the University Admission Committee (UAC) regarding his/her eligibility shall be final.

16. The allotment of seat through counselling at MMMUT Gorakhpur will be carried out strictly in accordance with the merit of candidate in Admission Test- 2014, candidate’s order of preference for the seats, and availability of vacant seat in the respective category.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM :
Before proceeding to fill-up the On-Line Application Form, the candidates are required to read the following instructions given in two sections: SECTION-A and SECTION-B.

SECTION-A explains the steps needed to fill-up this form and SECTION-B illustrates the information for various fields of On-Line Application Form.

Step-1: Profile Registration
Please use this step to give general information about you to register the profile. The details of fields in the opened form have been illustrated in Section-B. After entering the required information in on-line form, submit the form by clicking on SUBMIT button. The subsequent screen displays a Admission Form No., Password and a Login Id(which is actually the email which you entered during profile registration).A mail containing this information is also forwarded at your email-id.

Please note down the Admission Form No. carefully as you need to essentially mention it in all your future correspondence/queries related to your application form.

Step-2: Candidate Login
Use your login id and the password generated at Step-1 to login again to proceed further for Application Form filling. Use View/Edit Profile option to edit/correct your form (if needed) otherwise proceed to Step-3.

Step-3: Fill Registration Form
After entering the required information in appropriate Registration Form, click on SUBMIT button. A challan form shall be displayed on subsequent screen. Take the print out of this challan and logout.

Use this challan form to deposit the examination fee (Rs. 1500/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 750/- for Female/SC/ST category) as applicable in any CBS branch of State Bank of India. After exam fee deposition, a Journal Number will be issued by the respective branch.

Proceed to Step-4 on the day next to the day on which you deposited the examination fee. Before proceeding for Step-4, please keep the following ready:
Journal Number (given by the bank)
Softcopy of your Black & White Photograph (3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPG Format(less than 15 KB size)
Scanned Signature (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPG (less than 15 KB size)

Step-4: Verify Challan
Use Candidate Login tab to enter in your login account and click on Verify Challan. Fill up the journal number (given by the bank) in appropriate field and then click on SUBMIT button. If your journal number is correct, you will be prompted to upload softcopies of your black & white photograph and scanned signature. After uploading of black & white photograph and scanned signature, the final Confirmation Page of Application Form shall be generated. Take print out of this confirmation page in two copies (one for being sent to the University and other being retained by the candidate) and logout.

Please complete the printout of the Confirmation Page of Application Form by affixing black & white photograph (same as the one uploaded in application form), put signature and left-hand thumb impression of candidate and the signature of parent/guardian at appropriate places. The duly complete copy of the Confirmation Page of Application Form should be sent along with University copy of Bank Challan to The Coordinator, Admissions-2014, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Deoria Road, Gorakhpur-273010 (U.P.) so as to reach latest by 5 P.M. April 29, 2014 (for BTech/MCA/MBA) and May 26, 2014 (for Mtech/PhD) .

Please do keep 4 additional copies of the black & white photograph (same as uploaded on ON-Line Application Form) for future use.
