The CCRS is the Apex body in India for formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Mettur dam. There is also an attractive performance based time-bound In-situ promotion scheme and special allowance for “Group – A” Medical Doctors and Non-Medical Scientists of this Council. Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment.
1. Name of the post : Research Officer (Siddha)
No.of vacancies : 20
Age (as on 1.1.2014) : Not exceeding 40 years
Scale of Pay : Pay band (PB-3) (Rs.15600-39100+Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-)
Qualifications : Essential:
1. Postgraduate Degree in Siddha system of medicine from a CCIM recognized Institution.
2. Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.
2. Name of the post : Research Officer(Siddha Pharmacy)
No. of vacancy : One (UR-1)
Age (as on 1.1.2014) : Not exceeding 40 years
Scale of Pay : Pay band (PB -3) (Rs.15600- 39100+Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-)
Qualifications : Essential:
1. Postgraduate Degree in Siddha in Gunapadam from a CCIM recognized Institution.
2. Enrolment in the Central/ State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.
3. Name of the post : Research Officer (Pharmacognosy)
No. of vacancy : One (UR-1)
Age (as on 1.1.2014) : Not exceeding 40 years
Scale of Pay : Pay band (PB -3) (Rs.15600- 39100+Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-)
Qualifications : Essential: M.Sc. in Botany/ Medicinal Plants or M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from a recognized university.
Desirable: Ph.D in relevant subject
4. Name of the post : Lab Attendant
No. of vacancies : Twenty Four (24)
Age (as on 1.1.2014) : Not exceeding 25 years
Scale of Pay : Pay Band (PB-1) Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay GP.Rs.1900/-.
Qualification : Essential: 12th (+2) class or equivalent with Science subjects from recognized Board/University.
Desirable:
1. Certificate course from recognized University/Institutes in Computer Application
2. Experience in recognized Laboratory
Fee: Demand draft for Rs.100/- for OBC/General candidates and Rs.20/- for SC/ST candidates, which has to be drawn in favour of Central Council for Research In Siddha, payable at Chennai
How to Apply :
i) The application forms can be downloaded from the Website.
ii) Candidates desiring to receive the application form by post are requested to send their requisition along with sufficiently stamped self-addressed envelope. The application along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, age, community certificate etc… should be enclosed along with the application with two recent passport size photographs, One recent passport size photograph has to be affixed in the first page of the application on the space provided and a demand draft should be enclosed. Original certificates have to be produced at the time of written test/Interview. Self-attested copies of testimonials and certificates should be produced by the physically Handicapped candidates who are exempted from the application fee. The candidates should mention “Application for the post of ____________” in bold letters on the right side top of the envelope.
iii) Separate application shall be submitted for each post. Candidates applying for the post of R.O. (Siddha Pharmacy) and R.O. (Siddha) are required to submit separate applications for each post.
