Post-Graduate Diploma in Sericulture (Non-Mulberry) Course for the Session 2014-15 at Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, Ranchi, Jharkhand -Sponsoring of candidates for the– reg.

The next session of Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture Course in Non-Mulberry Sericulture for the Session 2014-15 under semester scheme is scheduled to commence from 1st July 2014 at Central Tasar Research & Training Institute at Ranchi, Jharkhand of Central Silk Board, Minisitry of Textiles, Govt. of India. The training in Non-Mulberry Sericulture shall be imparted to the candidates sponsored by various sericultural states for meeting their requirement of trained technical manpower for manning various projects of sericulture development. The course is affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi (Jharkhand State). The details of the course and its prerequisites are

Name of the Course: Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture [Non-Mulberry]
Duration & Date of Commencement: 15-months from 1st July 2014
Course Fee (Rs) : 10,000/- only
Name of the Institute: Central Tasar Research & Training Institute, (CTR&TI), Ranchi. (Jharkhand) Affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi
Admission Capacity: 20 (Twenty) seats

Medium Of Instruction : English
Duration: 15 (Fifteen) months including 3-months’ Intensive Practical Training.
Capacity: Admission is open for 20 candidates (Maximum) at CTR&TI, Ranchi for the academic session 2014-15.

Qualification: Graduation / Post-Graduation in Biological sciences (Botany / Zoology / Sericulture / Agriculture from a recognized University).
Age Limit: 40 Yrs. as on 1-7-2014 for in-service candidates (DOS/NGO). 30 Years for candidates interested for open admission.
Desirable: Experience in any branch of sericulture.

Course Fee: Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only).
50% concession shalll be granted to the DOS sponsored candidates. Rs. 7500/- shall be charged for NGO sponsored candidates. Open candidates shall pay full course fee of Rs.10000/-. The sponsoring agency shall deposit the prescribed fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, CTR&TI, Ranchi, Jharkhand payable at Ranchi, while forwarding the nominations and deputing the candidates.

Accommodation And Food: Accommodation will be provided in the hostel against payment of a nominal charge of Rs.15/- per person/day/bed. Charges on food are based on actuals (dividing system) for one and all. The sponsoring organization shall pay the admissible stipend and other allowances (daily allowance and book allowance etc) to the candidates as per their eligibility.

Selection For Admission Of Candidates: It is requested to depute candidates after due screening preferably through a written test at your end. However, please ensure that an undertaking from the concerned candidate shall be taken to the effect that he / she will not claim job opportunity from CSB or otherwise. Further, it is requested to inform the NGOs in your state about the course details and forward their applications with the following details for consideration of their admission. However, the NGO/ Private Entrepreneurs shall bear the entire Course Fee of the candidates sponsored.

4. Present area of operation.
5. Previous experience in sericulture.
