Find Your Computer’s IP Address :
You might need your computer’s IP address if you set up an Internet connection, allow other people to connect to your computer, or need to troubleshoot network problems.
Window 7 :
To find your computer’s IP address :
** Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type adapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
** Select an active network connection, and then, in the toolbar, click View status of this connection. (You might need to click the chevron Picture of the chevron icon to find this command.)
** Click Details.
** Your computer’s IP address appears in the Value column, next to IPv4 Address.
Windows Vista :
** Open Network and Sharing Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Network and Sharing Center.
** Under Connection, click View status.
** Click Details.
** Your computer’s IP address appears in the Value column, next to “IPV4 IP Address.”
