1.Name of the post : Deputy Librarian

Qualification:
(i) Minimum Eligibility Criteria :
(a) A Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and consistently good academic record.
(b) At least 5 (five) years of experience as Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
(c) Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library.
(ii) Desirable : Experience : A M Phil/Ph D degree in Library Science/Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscripts Keeping/ Computerization of Library.
2.Name of the post : Assistant Librarian
Pay Band : Rs 15,600 – 39,100 plus Academic Grade Pay Rs 6,000)

Qualification: Minimum Eligibility Criteria :
(a) A Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library.
(b) Qualifying in the national level eligibility test conducted for the purpose of UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. (c) However, candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph D degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph D Degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment or appointment of Assistant University Librarian.

ii) Applications form submitted by the applicants should be properly filled in all respects and all the entries therein must be substantiated by supporting documents – failing which such applications would be treated as cancelled.
iii) Candidates who applied for the same post(s) earlier may apply without application fees, provided they had submitted application fees on the earlier occasion.
iv) All the incumbents appointed to these posts are transferable from one campus / Regional Centre /Department / School of Studies etc. to the other.
v) A relaxation of 5% in the marks may be provided for the persons belonging to SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically as well as visually) categories
(a) At the Masters level required to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria.
(b) For assessing good academic record throughout the candidate’s career.
vi) The marks in each case mean the qualifying marks without any grace marks and/or rounding off procedure
vii) Period of time taken by the candidates to acquire M.Phil and/or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as teaching/research experience to be claimed for appointment to the post of Deputy Librarian
