OBC Non Creamy Layer Certificate For IIT JEE :
This certificate is to be produced by “non-creamy” OBCs applying against reserved vacancies for appointment to posts/admission to central educational institutions (CEIs), under the Government of India.
If you fall under OBC-NC (Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer) category then you may apply under OBC-NC category while applying Online/Offline,even though if you have declared your birth category as GN (General) while applying for GATE. However you have to produce the OBC-NC certificate at the time of Written Test/Interview.
Eligibility :
The eligibility criteria for admission under OBC-NC (Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer) is similar to general category candidates.
Income Criteria :
The limit of annual income of Rs. 4.50 lakhs has been raised to Rs. 6.00 lakhs for determining the creamy layer among Other Backword Classes (OBCs) candidates in the centrally funded technical education institutes.
Documents Required for Non-Creamy Layer Certificate :
All documents should be attached.

2 . Other Documents (if any)
3 . Passport Size Photograph
4 . Family Income Certificate
The authorities competent to issue Caste Certificates are indicated below :
(i) District Magistrate / Additional Magistrate / Collector / Deputy Commissioner / Additional Deputy Commissioner / Deputy Collector / Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate / Sub-Divisional magistrate / Taluka Magistrate / Executive Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner (not below the rank of Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate).
(ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate / Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate / Presidency Magistrate.
(iii) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar’ and
(iv) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and / or his family resides.
