Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement in the post of Electrician (4 Nos) through outsourcing agency of the Institute.
Name of the post : Electrician
No. of post : (4 Nos)
Age limit: Maximum up to 35 years
Nature of duties: Routine works in day / shift wise on day to day basis including night.
Selection : Selection will be done after scrutiny and followed by interview/skill test.
1. Electrician for HT/ LT & Generator operation & maintenance works:
Minimum qualification: Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in appropriate trade (Electrical) having Valid Licence “Wireman –B/ Lineman / HT category”
Experience/ Knowledge: 03 yrs. of experience in HT / LT & DG in AMF operation and coordinating with PLC system. Experience from Govt. / PSU / Reputed Pvt. Ltd. Firms shall only be considered.
Knowledge: The incumbent must have sufficient knowledge in the following areas :( Practical Test will be conducted at site)
1. Power system protection & electrical safety.
2. Transformers protection, Buchholz relay, over current, earth fault protection, types of relays, circuit breakers maintenance & settings
3. Maintenance of equipment’s in the outdoor switchyard, current transformers, potential transformer and lightning arrestors, operation and maintenance bus differential protection
4. Cables mitering , laying and terminating to panels.
5. Maintenance of cells & battery.
6. Starting and monitoring of various electrical equipments.
7. Station emergency lighting arrangements
8. Computer operation.
9. Fire safety in case of emergency
10. Preventive maintenance & corrective maintenance
11. Documentation
2. Electrician for LT , HVAC & BMS operation & maintenance works:
Minimum qualification: Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in appropriate trade (Electrical) having valid Safety Licence / sufficient knowledge in safety measures relating to system.
Experience/ Knowledge: 03 yrs. of experience in LT (House wiring) & “Air-conditioning, refrigeration, Ventilation and Central Monitoring & Control System operation & maintenance works. Experience from Govt. / PSU / Reputed Pvt. Ltd. Firms shall only be considered.
Knowledge:
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: (Practical tests will be conducted at site)
1. Power system protection & electrical safety.
2. Air-Cooled Chillers plant
3. Pump operation, Pump Alignment Test & maintenance.
4. Air Handling Units operation & maintenance.
5. Pressure Test
6. Air Duct Leakage Test
7. Split Type Air Conditioning Units
8. Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) System checking.
9. Starting and control equipment of various types of motors
10. Station emergency lighting arrangements
11. Computer operation.
12. Fire safety in case of emergency.

3. Electrician for HT/ LT & Fire Fighting equipment operation & maintenance works:
Minimum qualification: Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in appropriate trade (Electrical) having Valid Licence “Wireman –B/ Lineman / HT category”
Experience/ Knowledge: 03 yrs. of experience in HT / LT (MV Panel with PLC system) & Fire Fighting equipments operation and maintenance works. Experience from Govt. / PSU / Reputed Pvt. Ltd. Firms shall only be considered.
Knowledge: The incumbent must have sufficient knowledge in the following areas :( Practical test will be conducted at site)
1. Power system protection & electrical safety.

Minimum qualification: Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in appropriate trade (Electrical) having valid Safety Licence / sufficient knowledge in Safety measures relating to the system.
Experience/ Knowledge: 03 yrs. of experience in LT (House wiring) and Lift operation and maintenance works. Experience from Govt. / PSU / Reputed Pvt. Ltd. Firms shall only be considered.
Knowledge: The incumbent must have sufficient knowledge in the following areas :( Practical test will be conducted at site)
