POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (PGDIE) 44th BATCH 2014-2016 :
This two year Post graduate Programme aims at developing professionals with cross functional skills. Students of PGDIE have been instrumental in providing solutions to complex Industrial and Business problems for over four decades. The programme covers subjects such as Industrial Engineering Techniques, Strategic Aspects of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Six Sigma, Operations Management, Project Management, Logistics Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Process Reengineering and Software Engineering.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MA FACTURING MANAGEMENT (PGDMM) 1st BATCH 2014-16 :
This two year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Manufacturing Management aims at creating professionals equipped to meet the challenges in manufacturing management. This programme has been designed keeping the manufacturing policy of India in mind and covers subjects such as Manufacturing system design and management, Ergonomics of manufacturing , Production planning and control, Facilities planning, Work systems design and Quality engineering and control.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT (PGDPM) 1st BATCH 2014-16 :
This two year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Project Management aims at creating professional project managers equipped to meet the challenges in project management. The Programme covers subjects such as Project appraisal and feasibility analysis, Project planning and Control, Project Cost estimation, Project finance and portfolio management, Project execution management and Plant design and layout.
Eligibility & Selection :
GATE qualified [2013/2014] with 60% Aggregate marks at graduation in Engineering/Technology in any branch for PGDIE Programme. For PGDPM and PGDMM students with following engineering disciplines can only apply mechanical. production, automobile, chemical, civil, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics. GATE qualifiers get Teaching Assistantship Rs.8000/- per month and contingency expenditure as per rules. Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weightage to GATE score. Final year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they secure the qualifying degree with 60% aggregate marks before June 17, 2014. Only short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at NlTlE, Mumbai.
SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India vide letters No.11016/19/2005-SCD-l dated 21 .6.2007 & No. 19012/36/05-Education dated 27.6.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein.
Selection of Sponsored candidates with 60% aggregate marks in Engineering/Technology (with a minimum of 2 years full time industry / academic experience) is through personal interview only. GATE score Is not required for Sponsored candidates however they may have to attend the Institute level test. No teaching assistantship is granted to Sponsored candidates.
Fellow (Doctoral Programme) FP :
The programme aims to admit, individuals with sound academic background, strong motivation and potential to become excellent researchers at national and international level.
Areas: Industrial Engineering, Engineering & Technology Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Manufacturing and Systems Management, IT & Systems, Decision Sciences, Environmental Engineering and Management, OB & HR, Marketing, Finance & Accounts and Economics & Strategy.
Eligibility : Masters Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life Sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks from recognized University/Institution, CA/ICWA and ACS. Those appearing for their final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply. Project/Work experience in these areas would be preferred. Candidates from Industry I Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, have to stay in the campus for six months for credit requirements. No financial assistance is available for such candidates. They need to produce sponsorship certificate from the employer.
Selection: All candidates are required to appear in a written test conducted by NlTlE. Candidates are selected based on test marks, past academic achievements, motivation, seminar presentation and personal interview. NlTlE Test will be on May 2014 (Forenoon). Presentation on Tentative Research Proposal and Personal Interview will be held on (Afternoon), 7″ and May 2014 at NlTlE, Mumbai.
Financial Assistance : Financial Assistance is provided only for direct candidates for four years as per MHFlD guidelines. To be eligible for financial assistance the candidate has to have a valid Score of GATE/CAT/GMAT/GRE/NET.
