DJ Memorial Photography Contest 2014 :
LMW announces the third edition of DJ Memorial Photography Contest 2014. This event is being held as a tribute to the viionary leader Dr. D Jayavarthanavelu, the pst chairman and Managing Director of LMW, who had an unwaverinag passion for photography. Send us your best shots and get a chance to win the coveted DJ Memorial Photography Contest award and a cash prize.

Contest winners and their ranking will be done by a jury.
Decision of the jury will be final and binding

All ages and levels of expertise are welcome.

Terms & Conditions :
** All pictures should have been taken in India. There will be no other restriction.
** The DJMPC for 2014 is open under the category ‘All forms of NATURE except Mammals’. Nature except Mammals depicts living, untamed birds & insects, uncultivated plants in a natural habitat, Landscapes without human influence. Photographs of birds which are domesticated, caged or under any form of restraint, as well as photographs of cultivated plants, Hybrid Plants, are ineligible. The original image must have been taken by the photographer, whatever photographic medium is used. Any manipulation or modificaton to the original image is limited to minor retouching of blemishes and must not alter the content of the original scene.
** All submissions for the contest have to be made only by an online entry at www.djmpc.in .All relevant particulars as asked for in the online portal have to be filled in.
** Entries made will be available for editing by the entrant for a period of 15 days from the date of upload, after which the system will automatically download the same and make it a part of the non-editable contest entry database.
** The original image must have been taken by the photographer. Any manipulation or modification to the original image is limited to minor retouching of blemishes and must not alter the content of the original scene.
** Size of the images submitted online should be of 1400 to 1600 pixels (long side), JPEG format only and with a maximum file size of 1.2MB. A maximum of 6 images can be submitted.
** There must be no text or information on the image.
** Entries submitted during previous editions of DJMPC cannot be re-submitted.
** The only mode of communication will be e-mail. Therefore, please mention your current email ID in your entry. Due acknowledgment of the photographer’s name will be mentioned for the images that are used by LMW.
** All entries should have a title. Entries without a title will not be accepted. “UNTITLED” is not a valid title.
** If there is dispute of any kind, the decision of the jury will be final and binding on all concerned. All disputes will be subject to Coimbatore jurisdiction
** Even though the copyright will rest with the photographer, DJMPC may use the picture for non-commercial promotional purposes .By participating in this event, it is construed that all participants hereby give their concurrence to use of their photograph by LMW. Due acknowledgment of the photographer’s name will be mentioned for the images that are used.
** In addition to the First, Second and Third prizes, Certificates of “Honourable Mention” will be awarded to selected photographs at the discretion of jury.
** The Organizers shall not be held responsible for non-performance and any obligation cast on them by these rules due to the occurrence of any Force Majeure Event including any act of God, civil commotion, natural calamity and any other happening, which the Organizers cannot reasonably prevent or control.
** If any of the images reach the final round the original raw file / negative / slide will have to be sent for verification. Failing which the images will not be considered.
