1 Name of the post : Professor
Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :PB 4:.37400 – 67000/- + AGP:Rs.10500/-
Qualification: Ph.D with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with a very good academic record
Relevant Experience: 10 Years after Ph.D or 13 Years (not counting Ph.D enrollment period) in total out of which 7 years to be after Ph.D; At least 3 years to be at Associate Professor level in an institution of repute.
Other Essential Requirements: Two Ph.D.s guided in career as sole or Principal Supervisor
The following accomplishments during the past four years;
(i) 3 papers in SCI Journals
(ii) One high value sponsored or consultancy project
(iii) Academic outreach activity equivalent to two self-financed courses offered as coordinator and main teacher
(iv) Two experiments or computational design projects with added to teaching laboratories, where appropriate
Additional Desirable Requirements :
(i)One or more patents
(ii)Supervised more than 3 students for Ph.D
(iii)Preparing E-learning material
(iv)At least one self-financed short-term course offered every year
(v)Strong liaison with Industry
(vi)Offering significant support to Institute management.
(vii)High value sponsored or consultancy projects

2 Name of the post : Associate Professor
Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :PB 4: 37400 – 67000/- + AGP:Rs.9500/-
Qualification: Ph.D with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with a very good academic record
Relevant Experience: 6 Years after Ph.D or 9 Years in total (not counting Ph.D enrollment period) out of which 3 years should be after Ph.D. Three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000/-or equivalent in a reputed Institute / Industry / R&D Laboratory.
Other Essential Requirements:
(i) One Ph.D guided in career as sole or PrincipalSupervisor plus one continuing
(ii) Four papers in SCI journals after Ph.D
(iii) Two projects on-going or one on-going plus onecompleted
(iv) Academic outreach activity equivalent to two self financed short-term courses.
(v) Two experiments or computational projects added toteaching laboratories, where appropriate
Additional Desirable Requirements:
(i) One or more patents.
(ii) Supervising one or more students for Ph.D
(iii) Offering courses through application of ICT
(iv) Strong liaison with Industry

Qualification: Ph.D with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with a very good academic record
Relevant Experience: 3 years after Ph.D or 6 years in total (no tcounting Ph.D enrollment period) after obtaining M.Tech. degree
Other Essential Requirements:
(i) Two papers in SCI Journals outside Ph.D. work
(ii) One on-going sponsored project for candidates from academia
(iii) Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories, where appropriate
Additional Desirable Requirements:
(i) One patent
(ii) One Ph.D supervision on-going
(iii) Experience in Industry or R&D laboratories of repute
(iv) M.Tech. / M.Sc. / B.Tech. projects onlive Industrial problems

Qualification: Ph.D with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with a very good academic record
Relevant Experience: 1 year
Other Essential Requirement: One paper accepted for publication in an SCI Journal.
Additional Desirable Requirements: Two papers in SCI Journals or One patent; may be based on Ph.D work
Age Limit: Preferably below 35 years.
5 Name of the post : Assistant Professor (on contract)
Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :PB 3: 15600 – 39100/- + AGP:Rs. 6000/- + admissible increments
Qualification: M. E. / M. Tech with advanced state of Ph.D. work in a reputed Institute
Other Desirable Requirement:One publication in an SCI journal
Age Limit: Preferably below 30 year
