Online Application for Scientific Assistant Competitive Examination 2013

How to Apply :
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
a) Applications shall only be submitted online
b) Candidates are required to apply online through jssc.in
c) No other means/mode of submission of application will be accepted under any circumstances. No manual/ paper application will be entertained.
d) Entries in the application form shall be required to be filled only in English.

e) Before starting to fill up the on-line application, keep at hand the following details/documents/ information in line with the requirements prescribed in the advertisement:
Valid e-mail ID, which should remain valid for at least one year.
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 125/ for SC/ST and Rs. 500 for others. The Pay-in-Slip is to be downloaded from the website after completing the registration process.
Candidates should have scanned copy of latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signatures in digital format (.jpg or .jpeg file only, less than 500 KB size) for uploading with the application form.
After applying online, candidate is required to download the Registration Slip generated by the system with unique Application Number and the pay-in-slip. Candidates are required to keep the printout of the Registration Slip and the pay-in-slip which will be required at the time of verification.

f) While applying for the post, the applicant must ensure that he/ she fulfills the eligibility including academic and professional qualifications as per advertisement and other norms mentioned above. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment / selection that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he/she has furnished any incorrect / false / wrong information or has suppressed any material act(s), his/her candidature will automatically stand cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is / are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any notice.
g) Category (SC / ST / EBC I/ BC II / Unreserved) once entered at the time of online registration shall not be allowed to be changed under any circumstances and no benefits of other category will be admissible later on.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE :
a) Go to the application website:
Go to the website http://jssc.nic.in/ .
Click the ‘Apply Online/Online Application’ link on the website jssc.in after you have carefully read the detailed Advertisement/Prospectus

b) For new Application – Click on the Register Link. This will open the first page of the new Application.

c) Fill the first page of the Application – Fill the initial details such as post applied for, age, qualification, category, as required in the form. Check them carefully before pressing the submit link because you will not be permitted to change these basic details in this application later.Press the Submit link, after checking.

d) Registration Successful mail will be sent to your registered email id with Application Number and Password. This Application ID & Password will allow you to Login further to complete your registration/print challan/print registration slip either now or later, before the Last Date of Submission of Application.

e) Login again : On the screen shown, press the Login button. You will be shown a link which will ask you to Login again. Proceed with Login procedure by using the Application ID and Password, which will open the second page of the Application Form.
(Note: If you wish to complete your application later, you can leave the page. You can fill the second page of the Application later, on or before the Last Date of Submission of Application, by going to the Application Website again and logging in as Registered Candidate using your Application ID and Password.)

f) Fill details on the subsequent pages : Fill up all the required information on the screens (which is in fact the subsequent tabs of the on-line form) with personal identification details, etc. Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details while filling in the on-line application.

g) Please confirm all the details entered by you before clicking the SUBMIT Button. Or else go back to edit the details. ONCE THE DETAILS ARE SUBMITTED HERE, NO CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED AT SUBSEQUENT STAGES.

h) Upload Photograph : Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white background, and has no harsh shadows. If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. Also, ensure that both ears are visible in the picture. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should be not be more than 500 kb.

i) Upload Scan of Signature: Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan it. Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page and ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 500 kb. Please note that this signature would appear on the Admit Card, and if it does not match the signature on the answer sheet at the time of the written test, the candidature will be cancelled.

j) Payment – PAYMENT THROUGH PAY-IN-SLIP :
Bank Of India has been authorized to collect the application fee in a specially opened account (No. 499820110000015) at Ranchi , on behalf of JSSC.Candidate has to approach the nearby Bank Of India Branch with a printout of the “Pay- In-Slip” which is available on the Application Registration Portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the Portal only should be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the concerned branch of Bank Of India will issue a Transaction Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. In case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account, JSSC will not be responsible. The last date of remitting Application Fee is 3rd April 2014.
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.

k) Submit the Payment Details :Once the Challan is deposited and the Bank provides the Branch Code and Transaction ID and the same needs to be filled up in the online application form and complete your registration. This will be the final completion of form fill up. The candidate has to provide her / his consent for the correction of the information entered by selecting the “Declaration” text. Once the candidate checks this information and click on Submit (Final) the candidate gets, confirmation message mentioning the “Application Number” and the other important options.

l) Submit the Application Form & Print Provisional Registration Slip : Print Provisional Registration Slip and carefully retain it for future reference. You are not required to courier it or email it.

FAQ’s for Online Registration :
Q.1: Are the details I fill in before generation of Application ID saved?
No details are saved till the Application ID is generated. If you exit before the Application ID is generated, you will have to start afresh.

Q.2: What happens if my computer switches off while I am filling my Application?
If you logout or your connection is interrupted at any stage after generation of Application ID, you will be directed to the place where you last left your Application, when you log in again with your Application ID and Password.

Q.3: Do I have to fill the whole Application in one go?
No, once the Application ID is generated, you can logout and return to the Application later at your convenience before the Last Date of Submission of Application, using your Application ID and Password.

Q.4: What do I do if I have Submitted wrong details by mistake?
You cannot alter submitted details in any Application. You will have to fill up a fresh Application with correct details. You need not deposit Application Fee for the incomplete/incorrect Application. But if you have deposited the Application Fee already you will have to deposit the Application Fee again for the correct Application. No Application can be accepted unless the Application Fee has been deposited with reference to that Application.

Q.5: If I apply online, do I also have to post the application to JSSC?
No. You don’t need to send the application to JSSC

Q.6: What is the significance of Application number?
The Application number is a unique number to identify your application. Hence the same to be quoted in all your future correspondence with JSSC.

Q.7: I am a final year student, appeared for the exam and awaiting result. I will complete my studies before the written examination. Can I apply?
No. At the time of applying you should possess the prescribed minimum qualification for the post.

Q.8: How do I pay my exam fees?
For depositing the examination fee (Rs. 125.00 for SC/ST candidates and Rs. 500.00 for others) candidate has to fill in the online application form and submit it through the online registration portal. On successful registration candidate will be allowed to take the printout of the challan and he can deposit the requisite examination fee in any branch of Bank of India.

Q.9: In case I have made a mistake in filling in my Date of Birth or education qualification, or any other details, can it be corrected?
If you have detected the mistakes before clicking the save button you can make the changes using the edit option. Once you submit the application online you cannot change any of the information. So before you submit please check and re check the information.

Q.10: Will the examination also be conducted on line?
No. It will Offline OMR based examination.
