Sikkim Police Combined Recruitment 2014 :
Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up (a) 450 posts of GD Constables in Armed Battalions, (b) 85 posts of Drivers, (c) 30 posts of Constables (Technical) in Communication Branch in the pay band of Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules and (d) 7 posts of Followers in the pay band of Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus grade pay of Rs.2200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules in Sikkim Police. The reservations for various categories are as under.
GD Constable : 450
Constable Driver : 85
Constable (Technical) : 30
Follower : 7
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (for GD Constable):
Educational Qualification : Minimum class X passed from recognized Board for open candidates and class VIII passed from recognized Board for HG candidates who were enrolled before 4.9.2012 and class X who were enrolled after 4.9.2012.
Age : Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years as on 1st March, 2014.
Age Relaxation : In addition to the age prescribed above the candidates will be given relaxation of 5 yrs. for BL/ST/SC, 4 yrs. for MBC and 3 yrs. for OBC. Upper age limit for HG candidates are 32 yrs. for BL/ST/SC, 31 yrs. for MBC and 30 yrs. for OBC. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – (a) Height – 5’3’’ minimum for male – 5’ min. for female (b) Chest – 32” min. with min. 2” expansion for male. (c) Weight – 50 Kgs. min. for male – 45 Kgs. min. for female
HG Candidates – :
(a) Should have enrolled not later than 1st March, 2011.
(b) Should be in possession of an enrolment or discharge certificate issued by Dy. Commandant General, Home Guards.
(c) Should not have been charged for offence (s) and punishment listed under 15 (2) of the Sikkim Home Guards Rules, 1993.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (FOR CONSTABLE DRIVERS) :
Driving License : Candidates must have an effective TRANSPORT (T) LICENCE.
Age : Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st March, 2014.
Skill Test : There will be a skill test on driving of LMV, MV and HV. The Educational Qualification, Physical Requirements and Age Relaxation are the same as required for GD Constable above.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (FOR FOLLOWERS):
The vacancies of followers are available in the trade of safaikarmachari, cook and dhobi.
Educational Qualification : Minimum class VI passed.
Skill Test : Candidates will be tested for the trade applied for in the skill test.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (FOR Constables/Technical):
Educational Qualification : Minimum class XII passed in PCM.
The Physical Requirements, Age and Age Relaxation are the same as required for GD Constable above.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :
(a) Sikkim Subject/COI, (b) Valid local employment card, (c) ST/SC/MBC/OBC Certificate, (d) Educational qualification certificate/mark sheet, (e) Birth certificate, (f) NOC from Head of Department in case of Govt. servant.
PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORMS can be obtained from the office of the Commandant/3rd IRBn, PHQ, Gangtok and the office of District SsP (North/South/West) on working days till 20th March, 2014 on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 70/= under revenue head 0055-Police-800 other receipts. The candidates must fill in application form with his/her own handwriting and affix his/her signature.
