National Entrance Test (NET) is a compulsory test for the eligible students seeking admission to Masters Programmes in Education and in Development.

The National Entrance Test will be objective in nature comprising of Multiple Choice Questions testing reading comprehension, logical ability and general and social awareness.

The test paper will be in English. The below is the details of NET 2014.

National Entrance Test 2014 scheduled on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Reporting at the Examination Hall : 10.00 a.m.
Test Time: 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Please note:
1. Candidates are requested to carry their ID proof issued by Government (Aadhaar card/Driving License/Passport/PAN Card) and produce it on demand at the Test Centre.
2. Candidates are not permitted to carry their mobile phones, laptops, cameras or any other electronic devices inside the examination hall.

ADMIT CARD :
Admit Card will be generated and uploaded on website from the first week of February. Login using your application number and date of birth to download the admit card.

General instructions for the National Entrance Test (NET) 2014:
1. Candidates to check the admit card carefully for Name, Application Number, Roll Number, Photo, Date, Time and Venue for the test. In case of any discrepancy, write to admissions@apu.edu.in.

2. Candidates should bring the Admit Card without fail to the Examination Hall and sign in the place provided for Applicant’s Signature only in the presence of the Invigilator in the Examination Hall.

3. Candidates should carry the ID proof issued by Government (Aadhaar card/Driving License/Passport/PAN Card) and produce it on demand at the Test Centre.

4. The Examination Hall shall be opened 30 minutes before the time specified for the commencement of the test. No candidate who is late by more than 30 minutes from the commencement of the test shall be admitted into the Examination Hall.

5. A seat marked with a roll number shall be allotted to each candidate. The candidates shall be required to find out and occupy the seats allotted to them by 10.00 a.m. Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before the conclusion of the test.

6. Before beginning to answer the paper, the candidate should write his/her roll number in the space provided in the Question Booklet and OMR Sheet. The candidate should read carefully the instructions appearing on the Question Booklet and OMR Sheet and check that the Question Booklet and OMR Sheet supplied to him/her is not defective and if so, may secure another copy from the Invigilator in lieu of the first one.

7. Candidates are not allowed to carry any papers, notes, books, log table, calculators or calculating devices, scanning devices, communication devices like cellular phones/pager/docupen, etc. to the Examination Hall. Any candidate found using, or in possession of such unauthorized material, indulging in copying or impersonation and / or adopting any other unfair means is liable to be summarily disqualified.

8. Candidates should follow the instructions given by the Test Administrator and Invigilators at the test venue, at all stages of the test. Violation of instructions will result in disqualification and the candidate will be asked to leave the Examination Hall. Any candidate found guilty of using unfair means of any nature in the Examination Hall shall be liable to be disqualified from the Azim Premji University National Entrance Test – 2014.

9. The schedule for ringing of the bell is as follows:-
(i) 30 minutes before the commencement of the test;
(ii) At the commencement of the test;
(iii) 30 minutes before the conclusion of the test;
(iv) At the end of the test.

10. The candidate shall have to return the Question booklet and OMR Sheet to the Invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall.
