Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry (UUHF) is a State Government University established in 2011. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has transferred the administrative control of two Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) from GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUAT) to UUHF. The KVK is a 100% financed national project of ICAR (Govt. of India) under which one KVK for each district of the country has been approved. Thus, for establishment and functioning of KVKs, ICAR (Govt. of India) rules shall be applicable. UUHF intends to fill up scientists’ posts in the two KVKs, one situated at Bharsar Campus in Pauri Garhwal District and the other located at Ranichauri Campus of the University in Tehri Garhwal District. Applications (on direct recruitment basis) are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts on the prescribed application format which can be downloaded.

Age Limit :
For Programme Coordinator: As per ICAR norms, the candidate must not have attained the age of 47 years as on closing date.
For Subject Matter Specialist/ T6: The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 40 years as on closing date.

Pay Scales:
Programme Coordinator : Rs. 37400-67000+ GP-9000 (PB-4)
Subject Matter Specialist/T6 : Rs. 15600-39100+ GP-5400 (PB-3)

Qualification(s) & Experience required for the post :
1 Programme Coordinator :
Essential: Doctoral degree in Agricultural Extension with 8 years experience in the relevant field as Scientist/ Assistant Professor/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 5400/- or Rs. 6000/- or Rs. 7000/- or Rs. 8000/- having made contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations.
Desirable: Experience in implementing Agricultural Extension Programmes.

2. Subject Matter Specialist(SMS)/T6- :
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science : Master’s degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
Soil Science : Master’s degree in Soil Science.
