1. Attendance Scholarship to Girls students from I to V Class:
Objective :
To enroll maximum girl students & to improve the attendance of Girl Students from I to V Class in Govt. Schools under Chandigarh Administration.

Criteria/Eligibility :
A girl Student studying in class I to V in non model Govt. Schools whose parents/Guardian’s annual income does not exceed from Rs. 150000/- per annum is given on Attendance Scholarship AT Rs. 250/- per month for 10 month in a year upto maximum limit of Rs. 2500/- per annum provided she completes 75% attendance or more in a month as per norms of the Chandigarh Administration.

Mode of payment :
The payment of Scholarship is being made through RTR in the name of the Heads of the Institutions and then by cash to the beneficiaries by the Heads of the Institutions.

2. Scholarship to SC/ST Students from I to VIII class:
Objective :
To ensure enrollment of all SC/ST students of the age Group of 6-14 years i.e. from I to VIII class.

Criteria/eligibility :
All the SC/ST Boys & Girls students covered under the scheme of Attendance Scholarship to SC/ST students from 1st to 8th class. These students are given scholarship AT Rs. 250/- per month subject to maximum of Rs. 2500/- in a year (i.e. for ten month in a year). The student is supposed to complete 60% attendance in a month as per norms of the Chandigarh Administration to avail this concession and his/her family annual income does not exceed Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum.

The payment of Scholarship is being made through RTR in the name of the Heads of the Institutions and then by cash to the beneficiaries by the Heads of the Institutions.

3. Talent Search Scholarship to SC/ST Students :
Objective :
To provide admission in Govt. Model Schools for the Talented Students from non model schools belonging to SC/ST Category.

Criteria/Eligibility :
The Students studying in Class 3rd in Govt. non model Schools are selected for admission to class III in Govt. Model School on the basis of Talent Search Scholarship Examination conducted by the Education Department, Chandigarh. In order to qualify the test, a student is required to obtain 60% marks. Thereafter the student is allotted Govt. Model School for admission convenient to him/her. SC/ST students are paid scholarship AT Rs. 150/- pm for 12 months plus Rs 200/- for stationery in a year.

4. Extra Coaching classes to SC economically weaker and socially under privileged :
Objective :
To eliminate the drop outs.

Criteria/Eligibility :
Special coaching to SC students in the Govt. School studying in V, VIII, X and XII classes is proposed to be given for 2 hours after school and for 5 Months in the fag end of the year. Three subjects i.e. English, Science & Maths are selected for special coaching as students are generally weak in these subjects.

The payment of Scholarship is being made through RTR in the name of the Heads of the Institutions and then by cash to the concerned teacher by the Heads of the Institutions.

5. Scholarship to Physically CHALLENGED Students from I to VIII class :
Objective :
To give financial assistance for studies.

Criteria/Eligibility :
This scholarship is to be granted AT Rs. 250/- PM to the students of class I to V and AT Rs. 300/-PM to the students of class VI to VIII for 12 months with the condition that the income of their parent does not exceed Rs. 1.50 lac per annum and she/he should have passed previous exam and have secured minimum 40% marks. The disability in each case should be to the extent of 40% and above.

The payment of Scholarship is being made through RTR in the name of the Heads of the Institutions and then by cash to the beneficiaries by the Heads of the Institutions.

6. Award of Meritorious Scholarship to SC/ST Students from IX to XII class :
Objective :
For the improvement of pass percentage

Criteria/Eligibility :
Students who have passed VIII, IX, X and XI classes by securing at least 55% marks are eligible for this scholarship with the condition that family income does not exceed Rs. 1.50 lac per annum & caste certificate required from 1st class magistrate. The Scholarship is to be granted AT Rs. 300/- per month for 12 months.

7. Scholarship to SC/ST & BC STUDENTS under State Harijan Welfare Scheme from VI to VIII class :
Objective :
Financial Help for studies to the students from VI to VIII class

Criteria/Eligibility :
Student who has passed 5th class examination is eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is to be granted AT Rs. 150/- PM to Boys and AT RS. 200/- PM to girl students for 12 Months with the condition that the family income of the student does not exceed from Rs. 1.50 lac per annum and caste certificate is required from 1st class magistrate.

8. Merit Scholarship on the basis of 5th class Scholarship Exam to the students from VI to VIII class :
Objective :
For improvement in merit

Criteria/Eligibility :
Students who have passed 5th class scholarship exam conducted by the Education Department, Chandigarh Administration are eligible for this scholarship with the condition that the students are not in receipt of any other scholarship and their family income does not exceed from Rs 1.50 Lac per annum. The Scholarship is to be granted AT Rs. 150/- PM for 12 Months.

9. Merit Scholarship on the basis on the bass of 8th class annual Examination to the students from IX to XII class :
Objective :
For improvement in merit.

Criteria/Eligibility :
Students who have secured 95% and above marks from Model Schools and 85% and above marks from ordinary schools in 8th class annual exam are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is to be granted AT 350/- PM for 12 Months.

10. Reimbursement of Examination fees of SC/ST Students of X & XII class :
The Examination fee of Board Classes of SC/ST Student is reimbursed to CBSE through RTR.
