BBMP’s Online Trade License :
Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has a duty to safeguard public health. In order for BBMP to verify, monitor and regulate trades for issues such as maintain cleanliness, hygiene, all other health concerns and safety standards, they are obliged to obtain trade licence prior to commencing business and renew them annually.

How to apply for Renewal Trade License?
** Existing trade licensee with a valid trade license can be renewed if there is no change in the constitution of the trade and or name of the trade and or change in the ownership of the trade using this link Renewal of Existing Trade License
** You will require to enter your old trade license number (in part or full) or enter the name of the applicant (in part or full) or trade name (in part or full) and click on the search button
** Please select the trade name from the list and continue through filling the form.
** If your trade name does not appear in the search result follow instructions on the given page.
** Enter your old trade license name as it appears in your trade license. Fill in all the details as it appears in the trade license and any additional information as required. Save the form and continue through the process.You will be issued a acknowlegdement receipt upon succesful payment and a permanent receipt along with a new trade license number upon verification by the department.
** Additional documents may be required by the department.
** By filling prescribed FORM and supporting documents and paying through authorized banks.
** By applying at jurisdictional Medical Officer of Health offices and paying through DD or Cash (cash maximum upto Rs 1000 only)

Renewal of Trade license is extended till 31st of March 2014 without fine

Mode of Payment :
** Payment for Trade license can be made by filling the online form for Renewal Trade License and continuing through the process to Payment gateway.
** Payment gateway accepts Visa or Mastercard issued Credit Cards and Debit cards.
** Applicant can choose to make payment at the time of applying or can choose to pay later.
** If you choose to pay later you will need to have a copy of your printed application and follow the link make payment to continue with payment.
** Alternatively you can choose to pay at Select IDBI branches or at BBMP MOH offices. Please carry a copy of the printed application form.
** Payment will be accepted in Cash (upto Rs.1000/-) at MOH offices or by Demand Draft/ Pay Order payable to Commissioner-BBMP at Bangalore.
** Payment at select banks can be by Cash or by Demand Draft/ Pay Order payable to Commissioner-BBMP at Bangalore.

Deadline :
The license issued expires on the 31st of March each year. Renewal starts from the 1st February. You need to apply for renewal before last day of February each year. Applications received from the last day of February till the 31st March will be automatically renewed. From 1st march onwards penalty will be levied as decided by BBMP.
