COMPETITION 2014 – ALL KERALA AUGUSTINE JOSEPH MEMORIAL CARNATIC MUSIC COMPETITION :
All Kerala Augustine Joseph Memorial Carnatic Music Competition 2014 will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Layam Road, Near Statue Junction,Tripunithura.
ATTENTION CONTESTANTS:
ALL ARE REQUESTED TO REPORT AT THE VENUE AT 8.30 A.M.
REGISTRATION WILL BE DONE ITEM-BY-ITEM AS ANNOUNCED AT THE VENUE.
Competition will be for
Vocal – Senior Boys – General, Deekshitar, Swathi Thirunal
Vocal – Senior Girls – Genral, Deekshitar, Swathi Thirunal
Vocal – Junior Boys – General, Deekshitar
Vocal – Junior Girls – General, Deekshitar
Violin – Senior
Violin – Junior
Mridangam – Senior
Mridangam – Junior
Those who are below 14 years of age as on 01/01/2014 are juniors. Those above 14 years of age but below 20 years as on this date are seniors
Competition in vocal with accompaniments for 3 selected candidates among senior boys & girls will be held on the same evening. Cash prizes will be given away to the winners at a function after that.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
** Each competition will be of 10 minutes duration.
** Competitors are permitted to sing Ragalapana, Swaram, Varnam, Keerthanam or any combination of their choice.
** Thambura/Harmonium/Sruthi Box will have to be brought by the participant.
** A registration fee of Rs. 50/- will have to be paid for each event.
** If the number of participants in any category is less than 3, such competition will not be held.
** Attested copy of birth certificate should be proceed to be submitted along with the application.
** Judges’ decision will be final.
** Managing Committee of the Sabha has the right to reject the application of a candidate with or without any reason.
** The best among senior boys & girls will be awarded with “Thambura” sponsored by Dr.K.J.Yesudas
** Those who have won the said ‘Thambura’ award once are not eligible to participate again.
** Winners of each event will be given a Certificate, Endowment cash award and memento by the Sabha.
