Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET-2014) will be conducted by JNTUK, Kakinada, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, for Diploma holders of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy and B.Sc. Graduates (with Mathematics) for admission into B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Pharmacy Programmes offered in University and AICTE/ PCI approved institutions (1st and 2nd year level as applicable) in A.P. for academic year 2014-2015. The eligible candidates have to apply through ONLINE MODE only.

ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST:
The Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for ECET:
(i) They should be of Indian Nationality.
(ii) They should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/nonlocal status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

(iii) They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or any other Diploma recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Diplomas as given in the following Annexure.

They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the following Annexure.

(iv) Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B. Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the award of diploma course before admission into the college.

(v) Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION INTO B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm. :
(1) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E. and B.Tech Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority).
(2) For admission through Common Entrance Test into 1st year Regular B.E and B. Tech Courses in University Engineering Colleges for the seats specifically earmarked for Diploma holders and B.Sc degree holders.
(3) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year Regular B. Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non- Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Important Instructions to ECET-2014 Candidates :
1) Candidates who wish to apply for ECET-2014 are requested to fill the particulars carefully in ONLINE APPLICATION. The required information should be collected from the relevant documents.
2) All the candidates have to come to the Examination hall with a printout of Online submitted application. The candidate has to affix the passport size photograph (should be same as that of uploaded) duly signed by Gazatted Officer.
3) Candidates are not admitted to the examination after 10.00 A.M. and not permitted to leave the hall before 1.00 P.M.
4) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission.
5) The Question booklet code, Hall Ticket Number and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet, in the Test. Other wise ranks declared, if any wil be cancelled subsequently in such cases.
6) Candidates must return both Question Paper Booklet Acknowledgement slip and OMR Answer Sheet after the test.
7) Question paper will be in English only.

Income of Parents (income is less than Rs. 2.0 lakhs or more than Rs. 2.0 lakhs)

– The Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP etc.)
– The Certificate issued by competent authority
