Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) is an autonomous institution under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. inStem along with National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) & Centre for Cellular & Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) forms the Bangalore Bio-Cluster. inStem is looking for appointment of a Chief Administrative Officer(CAO) to head its administrative & financial functions. The incumbent shall be a self-driven individual who is highly motivated team player capable of managing all aspects of administration, finance and accounts including externally funded projects. The incumbent shall be the highest-ranking administrative officer reporting to Dean & Director. Currently, inStem receives around Rs. 100 Crores of funding which is likely to increase in the next two years. It is essential that the incumbent is a well-organized individual with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills who thrives on diversity in an evolving professional environment.

JOB TITLE: Chief Administrative Officer

Qualification:
Essential:
i) Graduate/Post-Graduate degree from a recognized university.
ii) Excellent communication and presentation skills.
iii) Working in an IT enabled/computerized environment using ERP tools.

Desirable:
(1) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in Accounting/ Company Law/ Finance/ Business Management from a recognized institution OR
(2) CA/ICWA/CS

Experience:
Essential: At least 15-20 years as outlined in the job profile above with a basic knowledge of finance and accounts.
Desirable:
1. Experience of handling matters relating to purchase & stores, personnel management, contract for outsourced services.
2. Scrutiny, evaluation and finalization of tender documents and works bills.
3. Experience of working in an academic and/or research organization of repute.
Candidates having outstanding record of accomplishment with 10-15 years of experience may also apply. They may be considered for an appropriate position with the possibility of upward progression in future.

Age Limit: Below Fifty Five (55) years.

Salary: Depending upon the qualification & experience, salary shall be fixed in Pay Band No 3 or 4 with appropriate Grade Pay. Salary will not be a constraint for outstanding candidates with proven record of accomplishment and experience in multiple areas of administration.

Nature Of Appointment: On Five (5) year contract of which the First (1st) year shall be on probation. Renewal upto 5 years and long term appointment thereafter subject to review of performance.
