This advertisement is published for contractual recruitment of Assistant professors in Government Engineering Colleges with fixed monthly remuneration of Rs 30,000 and Lecturers in Government Polytechnics with fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 25000/- against vacant post in various disciplines for 11 months or post getting filled through GPSC recruitment (whichever is earlier).

1. Name of the post : Lecturer (Polytechnic)
Minimum Education Qualification:
(1) For Engineering/Technology Disciplines: Engineering graduates or post gradates in relevant discipline with first class at Bachelor or Master Degree level
(2) For Humanities/Science subject: Post graduate in relevant subject with first class at graduate or post graduate level

2. Name of the post : Assistant Professor (Engineering college)
Minimum Education Qualification:
(1) For Engineering/Technology Disciplines: Graduate and Post gradates in relevant discipline with first class at graduate or post graduate level.
(2) For Humanities/Science subject: PhD in relevant subject

Age limit: 35 Years (5 Years Relaxation for SC, ST, SEBC and In-serving Government/Semi Government Candidates)
Education Qualification and Cut-off Date for Age limit: 31/12/2013

Selection Process: On merit of educational qualification of degree obtained from recognized universities.

How to Apply :
(1) The eligible candidate possessing required qualifications can apply on- line with complete details on ojas2.guj.nic.in

(2) Candidate applying for more than one post has to apply separately for each post.

(3) Time Table for interview/document verification process is available on the NIC and CTE websites. Candidates having marks above cut-off marks may be informed by SMS/websites. The details of discipline wise provisional merit list and discipline wise cut-off marks will be made available on 27/01/2014 on above websites. Candidates have to remain present accordingly in person with all necessary documents in original. Hence candidates are requested to provide the information carefully.

(4) Application will be scrutinized and treated cancelled if online details filled by the candidate is found incorrect.

(5) Depending upon the no of posts to be filled, approximately 3 times candidates are called for interview. This office reserves all rights regarding contractual appointment.

(6) Assistant Professor / Lecturer appointed on contract basis in March-2013 shall be relieved from service on completion of 11 months. These Assistant Professor / Lecturer appointed on contract basis shall have to apply fresh and have to take part in this selection process. If they will be selected as per merit, then appointments will be given as per rules.
