Mobile Banking Guidelines to Customers :
Mobile banking software allows customer to do banking transactions using his mobile handset.

Through our Mobile Banking Software, customer can do banking transactions either through
1. SMS/IVR or
2.downloaded application

Note :
This option will be provided at a later date. However, currently we are allowing our customer to download the application to have feel of the menus available. But per day fund transfer limit has been fixed at Rs.5000/- only ).

Initially bank proposes to provide Mobile Banking through SMS/IVR module only. All individual customers who have Savings Bank or Overdraft or Current Account are eligible for the facility.

In the case of a joint account where mode of operation is “Either or Survivor”, only primary customer will be able to avail this facility. The transactions in such accounts shall be binding on all the joint account holders of the account. Accounts where mode of operation is “joint” as also accounts in the name of minor or where minor is a joint account holder are not eligible for this facility.

Customer are requested to go through and understand the detailed terms and conditions available in our website. These Terms and conditions are subject to change from time to time.

Credit to NRE account is not allowed through Mobile banking.

For Mobile banking registration only inland mobile numbers are allowed. There is a
provision to link maximum of two accounts which are opened under the same customer ID.

All transactions happening within the Bank will be accounted in the primary account.

Customers are requested to avail this facility by submitting the prescribed application form ( available at the branch and also can be downloaded from the bank’s website) duly signed to the branch where his account is being serviced.

Based on the application received at the branch level, MPIN (4 digit transaction password) will be generated for the customer and sent to the branch. The customers are requested to contact their branches and collect the same.

Through SMS/IVR, customer can do the following transactions :
a) Fund transfer within SyndicateBank,
b) IMPS fund transfer to any other bank ( for this facility the beneficiary bank must have been enabled for IMPS and also the beneficiary must have MMID provided to his account).
c) Change of PIN

For using Mobile Banking facility SMS charges need to be borne by the customer as per his service provider/ plan .

Details of SMS/IVR Mode :
Customer must change his/her initial MPIN as soon as it is received from the Bank by typing CODE and sending sms to 9870900876. Which will prompt the customer to set his own MPIN

SMS / IVR Mode :
This can be used on any model of mobile hand set. .

Under SMS/IVR mode, fund transfer up to Rs 5000/= per day (as per RBI norms) can be done ( as per RBI normns) . Both the sender and beneficiary account holder need to be registered for mobile banking facility.

To send money to another account in Syndicatbank :

SMS the following syntax to 9870900876.

FTR <space><Recipient Mobile No ><space> <Amount>

For example : if the beneficiary account holder mobile number is 1234567890 and amount to be transferred is Rs.10.00, then SMS syntax will be:

FTR<space>1234567890<space>10

After sending the SMS, an IVR call will be initiated confirming the transaction details and seeking the Mpin from the customer. After validating ( MPIN, Mobile No and Balance) the recipient account will be credited by debiting the initiator account.

Both initiator and recipient will receive SMS message confirming the transaction.

To send money to account in other bank in India :
Under SMS/IVR mode, fund can be transferred to account of any other bank in India through Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS). For this facility the beneficiary bank must have been enabled for IMPS and also the beneficiary must have MMID provided to his account.

SMS the following syntax to 9870900876

IMPS<space><Mobile number><space><MMID><space><amount>

For example : if the beneficiary account holder mobile number is 1234567890 and MMID is 9025345 and the amount to be transferred to Rs.10.00, then sms syntax will be

IMPS<space>1234567890<space>9025345<space>10

After sending the SMS, an IVR call will be initiated confirming the transaction details and seeking the Mpin from the customer. After validating ( MPIN, Mobile No and Balance) the recipient account will be credited by debiting the initiator account.

The initiator will receive SMS message confirming the transaction.
